Bull is spot-on. I'm liking him more and more. I wish they'd reduce Drexler's minutes, maybe pair Clyde with Chaney, or give him a good will ambassador or go-play-golf job... Air Bull offers a heckuva lot more content.
I watched with the Nuggets commentator today. "Carmelo for 3, YESSS !!" "JR SMITH WITH THE GREAT PLAY!!" "Ooh, Landry just flopped there. Oh no ref!!" "ariza with the 3 point play (no enthusiasm)" "YES, HERE COMES THE NUGGETS!!" it was nuggets all the way there in the commentary, sounds a bit biased, but that is how things are. We have to cope with it. I remember being irritated with the biased celtics commentary last year when Von Wafer hits the dagger against them in their home. Put a cake in their face. haha
you couldnt have said it better! I'd rather listen Air Bull than Clyde or Van Chancelor (even though he's been gone for awhile). Air Bull keeps it real and even calls out bad calls that the Rockets get and all the flopping that our players do.
But sometimes (very seldom) the squeaky wheel will be greased. If enough complaints come publicly to view maybe the NBA will start a tougher standards and reviews on the refs. Would like to see an outside organization take over the referees management and a web site open to the public so the fans can keep track of the referees records. Broken down to the frequency of types of calls he or she makes and even down to which player and how many of the same type calls made on same player. Get rid of the Super Star calls and the anticipation calls!
My only problem with Bull is that when I'm getting really ticked off at the officiating (like last night), he starts saying exactly what I'm thinking. This fuels my anger even further because it confirms my suspicions that the refs really are as terrible as I think they are. Bull isn't doing anything wrong by speaking the truth. I have no issue with him calling out the refs. I think he does a great job analyzing the game and the different wrinkles in the Rox offense. Clyde on the other hand......not so much. He's like a video game announcer. He has about 25 canned comments and uses them repeatedly over and over. It's horrible.
Clyde on the other hand......not so much. He's like a video game announcer. He has about 25 canned comments and uses them repeatedly over and over. It's horrible. This comment couldn't be more true. Clyde is a video game announcer. Same comments every night and always states the obvious!
I had to listen to the nuggets commentators too... it was terrible. They thought the Rockets fouled on 50 percent of the plays and of course wouldnt say anything about some of the terrible calls against the Rockets. They seemed to always agree if it was against the Rockets and would complain if ticky tack touch fouls werent called as well.
Bullard is one of the few announcers that you know can actually tell what is going on in games and break it down in analysis. So when he does complain about the officials, you should know they are definitely getting the wrong call. Honestly, if he had a better/more memorable voice, he'd probably have even Bill's job at this point.
thats good that bullard was doin that maybe the refs will listen 2 him 4 a change they made bull**** calls n they no it
And to add, Clyde Drexler is the worse commentator I've ever heard. I absolutely hate listening to him and wish we could ban him from commenting our games.
