Exactly.....I don't people completely understand what's happening in Miami. They are UNDER the cap and cant go over it just by signing players right? If the cap is set around 52mil, then wade and bosh would eat 34-35mil off the top; leaving around 14-15 mil to fill out the roster. The only people on the roster now is Beasley and Chalmers......how in the hell are you gona fill out a GOOD team with just 14 million. I know they are not expecting those four 2nd rounders to be a factor huh? I thought he would be great in Cleveland seeing that they had dept and plus he'd be with Lebron with his 6 year max contract....I don't get it. It's dumb! Houston would have been just as good with a team around him and his 6 year max deal. So he is soooo in love with South Beach that he would sacrifice WINNING for the beach and chilling with Rick Ross? lol Ok..
It's going to be LA vs. Orlando again the 2011 NBA Finals. /thread unless the Rockets get their hands on LeBron.
They will only be as good as their surrounding cast. I will have to wait and see who they surround those two players with before I give any conclusion. They are only 2/5 of the starting lineup and they have 2 guys (Haslem, Chalmers) who are bench players... you do the math....???? I just dont see that many good rotation players available in free agency to make up a decent surrounding cast. Maybe they have a bunch of players stashed overseas... Probably not.
the heat simply don't have enough supporting cast to win a championship. sure they have star power but unless they can sign a couple of decent players to come off the bench then i say no ring.
No. He's as good as or better than Paul but the Lakers actually have some other players. The Heat has way too many holes at this point and I don't think you can plug all the holes with walk-ons. But those 2 will make some noise.
He can, depends on what else the Miami Heat adds and depends on luck (such as health of both stars). Kobe and Pau had plenty of help from Artest, Ariza (last year), Odom, Fisher, etc. Miami has a good start, but there remains a lot of work to be done.
So where does Miami now stand as far as cap space? Who can they honestly expect to sign to fill out their roster with any semblance of talent?
Didn't Morey tell Bosh if he signed with Miami, they'd win about 42 games next year? I can't wait to see how true this prediction is.
He could have been the difference maker here, but I'm not sold on him getting Miami back to the Finals. .
Can Bosh and Wade win a championship? Absolutely. Can they do it with a bunch of Vet Minimum players (even older stars trying to ride coattails)? No. They'll need a lot of help that Miami doesn't seem to be in position to give them yet. Five years is a long time though, and Miami could build a really good team around them eventually. It still would have made more sense to go to Chicago or Houston.
well the pole is confusing. you ask if he will help immensely, but then you go on to compare him to gasol. i think bosh/gasol are very similar in talent and skill.
The Heat title team had no one outside of Wade and Shaq. I expect them to be right there in the East.
lol I think people forget that. Also I don't really get why people get mad about Bosh not signing with Houston. Nobody knows exactly how Yao is going to return so it is a big question mark for a Key Free Agent.
