I don't get why everyone says "but the organization said he was going to be so good". What are they supposed to say about a player they just drafted? "Yeah, we drafted this guy, but we really wanted someone else....he's not really good enough to be playing. Maybe next year we'll get the guy we want. It's probably not going to work out with him."

if he can kick everyone's ass in practice, he would be playing a lot of min already. even for Yao's first couple of games, he did not play well at all, but he still get min, becuase he won his min in practice, and Cato once said Yao is already better than him when Yao just came into the state. so if Boki is good, he will get min. I think he just not ready yet

Oeilpere posted a couple weeks ago why Boki was not getting minutes; or was it Doc Rocket? I think it was Pere. Anyway, Pere with his insider info and connections with Rudy and the staff, seemed to know why Rudy isn't playing the guy. I don't think it's lack of talent. I think it's one of those bewildering Rudy things, like being a player coach and sucking up to Rice/Posey/T-Mo.

Maybe it is because Rudy wants to evaluate Posey and T-Mo for next year.

Or maybe because Rudy didn't want to further stoke the fires of his "veterans" (Steve and Cat?) who have had to adjust their games to the Yao Ming show; Yao and Boki being best friends on the team.

Maybe because another rookie would be too much at this time?

I think Boki will be a good player. There's some reason Rudy is sitting him, and it isn't lack of talent; but Oeilpere wouldn't divulge the reason.

How about "we think he will ge a great player, just not this year. We have to be patient with him..." You know, all that stuff they were saying about Yao, before he got here (of course, now they are saying these things about Nachbar).
