I still am proud that I am from Texas but if they can elect someone like Perry three times in a row I am embarrassed for my home state.
Agreed. How can you possibly respect a public official who hides from the public, the press, and his political rivals? Seems like that contradicts the entire idea of being a public official.
Apparently Rick Perry was another no show tonight for the debate. Bill White and the other candidates bashed him pretty good tonight. I want to see how those polls look come this Friday.
Hmmm, tough call on the debate. Bill white would obviously beat him down severely with "book learning" and "logical thought and reasoning" but it would also give voters a chance to compare the hair. 90% of Rick Perry's ability to win is based upon hair exposure. Take this example: Crazy guy in walmart? Could be. Spoiler Now look without the hat, and hair on full patrol. Spoiler Man is he the guy from the shampoo commercials? Only giving the people of Texas a chance to compare him to his opponents so they can make an informed vote, debates being a part of American political tradition, oh, since we became a republic.
The part where he (or any politician) begins to think like this is where he loses any credibility. It has nothing to do with him and everything to do with allowing the voters to make an informed decision. Since Perry has made a career of taking as much of Texas away from the voters as possible and giving it to his friends, I'd say you're probably right...only it's what makes voting for this jackass that much more moronic.
Look, if modelhairguy is afraid to debate oldbaldguy I think everyone should obviously realize they should vote for oldbaldguy because normally modelhairguy would debate him just to show the voters his hair.
unfortunately, the blind perry supporters (and on the same side of the coin, straight party voters) would vote for him no matter what.

I cast my ballot for Bill White. His chances of being governor are still zero. No polls show White leading.
He is just within the margin of error of most polls which probably gives him about a 10% chance. So yes... I'm saying there's a chance!
