I'd play him at the two spot, at the one only in a pinch or for a defensive stand. Of course, this is all moot. There's no way this is happening, right?

Jermaine Taylor and Joey Dorsey for Anthony Randolph

Neither JT or JD stand a chance to ever break the Rockets rotation IMO. We are basically swapping disappointing talent with Dorsey and adding young potential in Taylor to make the salaries work. Low risk high reward type of trade if you ask me. Morey's cup of tea.

right on...but he is 20 years old still trying to figure out the game...but yes he has no fundamentals...all athleticism right now.

i think a heathly brandon Wright is better than randolph.

    I don't know.
He finishes around the basket much better than Brooks and has more size than AB. AB has a better jump shot no doubt but Ellis still has a better PER largely due to the fact that he is just better at getting to and finishing at the basket. This leads to a lot more free throws for Monta than AB which is a benefit all to itself.

Monta is also a better defender and gets a lot of steals which I would love to see with Ariza. Monta has played every position on the floor except center for the Warriors while AB has been used exclusively at PG for the Rockets. Both AB and Monta turn the ball over a lot. Both Monta and AB average about the same amount of assists a game.

Monta can flat out get to the rim and finish over the rim and is a very good rebounding point guard getting 3.5 offensive rebounds a game.

I am not discounting anything you say about Monta Ellis but I don't think you are giving him quite enough credit. I don't think he has Steve Francis like basketball IQ but I only watch him when the Warrior games when the play the Rockets

I think they'd want Brooks. So would you guys do it? McGrady and Brooks for Ellis, Randolph, and Maggette? It works on the trade gizmo. Cook makes too much money to include in the deal. We have a roster spot and lose "only" one starter from a team that's really clicking. Interesting idea.

No way with Brooks in the deal.

Tracy's insured contract alone is GOLD and I'm not so sure we're not going to end up with a "superstar" + when all is said and done.

It's still not bad......but we have the goods to get more IMO.

I will say this, when you add Ellis, Randolph, and Maggette it's a load of talent to be adding to the preexisting guys still here + Yao/or what we get via trade down the road for him. Also it's a nice blend of promising youth and quality veteran talent.

I think I would do a deal for McGrady and Brooks for Ellis, Randolph and Maggette. That is just too much young talent that GS would be offering plus Maggette would provide a ton of depth at the 2/3 spots... although his contract is steep.

We would really be taking on some contracts, which might be an attraction for GS, but not from our end. Not sure how we could handle that end of it. As an aside, I think Nellie would go berserk if he had Brooks to play with!

How about Battier+Cook+Dorsey for Biedrins+Randolph? We'd have to get a SG/SF to replace Battier if McGrady is really gone. So trade Tmac for this player. Sure this overloads our PF/C group, maybe more trades down the line. Biedrins (if healthy) is okay as a defensive player. Randolph is super potential.

I would see what it would take to get Randolph.

20 yr old 7 footers with ability like that dont grow on trees.

He is definitely worth taking on a bad contract like Maggettes or preferably Beidrins.

Randolph would give this team something that its been lacking. (Size,Shot blocking and athelticism)

I'd do Randolph for Scola and Battier. I do not know if there salaries even match. Warriors might have to throw in another player to make the numbers work.

This is our chance? Warriors shopping Anthony Randolph accorting to league sources

    Yahoo! Sports

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Morey, it's your time.

Randolph is amazing talent. If he'll join Rockets, our coaching stuff without a doubt will use all his potential and he'll become our franchise player after Yao's career will be over

He's talented, very long, very athletic, very young, he can pass, dribble, rebound, blocking shots, play defence. He plays with heart and passion and he is terrific of the bench, so it's very good point, if he'll be the sixth man behind Yao and Scola

Now we have Landry. He's valuable and interesting player. He is very good this year and has excellent salary for his productivity. we all love him, but deep inside we all should understand, that he'll never be a star player and a symbol of our future. He will be 27 next September, when Yao'll came back and will reduce Carl's role. No doubt we will re-sign Scola, so Landry will have no chances to progress in future.

If Morey will deal him to Golden State in package, that warriors will want from him, Carl will have a chance to have a starting role in a young fastbreak team, where he can be a very profitable scorer and 18+9+1 + kind of player.

Rockets will bring a young, extremely talented player (no doubt, all-star caliber one), that can be effective in Carl's role in the next few seasons, when he'll progress and developed on his mid-range game, defensive fundamentals and leadership.

I think Morey should risk and trade Chase, Landry + 1-st rounder for Anthony and filler. It'll be a huge step for future of this franchise. There a lot of conflicts now inside warriors stuff, and I think, that it can be the only chance to get so talented player for couple of role ones.

I lke them too, we all like them. But we need to make this kind of decision, especially, when nobody wants to be a part of possible T-mac trade and our chances of bringing all-star caliber player in the next offseason are not so good, as we want and hope :(

I think he's good enough to take a Home-Run type of swing on. The thing that I like about him is that he can play next to or behind Yao.

I also like that he's an energy guy, one of the things that I don't necessarily like about Bosh is that I dont get the sense that he's going 100% all the time. He's almost too smooth for his own good. It can look like he's not trying. The way Randolph plays energizes teamates and the fans.

I wouldn't trade Landry alone for this guy let alone throw in Bud. Nuts.
