He's gone. That bridge got burnt.... ryan anderson is gonna love Portland or Detroit or wherever he ends up. Horry looked like Will Smith Ryan anderson does not. Next
Anderson can't shoot 3's at the Toyota center. We assumed that stat would change after he actually played at the Toyota center all the time, but it turns out Anderson genuinely can't shoot at the Toyota center. Ever. So he must go.
Probably way late but they're not even the same type of players, since Horry was the prototype small ball PF who could guard several positions extremely well. Anderson is a prototype small ball center who has multiple deficiencies. I am still very pro-Ryno but he's simply here to space the floor on offense and open up lanes for Harden/CP3.
Lock it up. This is why we can't have nice things. Meanwhile Ryno is boo hooing himself to sleep at night after swimming in his money vault all day and waiting for the deep end to fill up this year.
Robert Horry was 23 when they tried to trade him. Ryan Anderson is 29. Horry developed during his time as a Rocket. Anderson is a finished product. There is no comparing the two as players, as athletes or as talents.
Ryno's value is ridiculously discounted on this board. He was an integral part of our success (and failure) last year. Without him we are no where near the third best record in the NBA. He got injured a couple weeks before the playoffs and never recovered his form. Previously, he did not have a history of choking in the playoffs. Rebound (no pun intended) year big time!!!
lol...no. You don't all of a sudden become clutch. Some players can handle pressure while others cant. Peja is a prime example. One of the best shooters but come playoff time the guy made a habit of choking. Didn't want any part of the ball just like Anderson did not. Nothing is more useless in the NBA team offense, and detrimental actually, than a shooter-only on your team that is afraid to shoot. Especially when he is a starter. I mean seriously, you have one job, and you are afraid to do it. Jeezuz... I mean thats literally the opposite of Horry. Horry was a no show for most of regular season and then come playoff time he would make a big impact. Like Sam Cassell, he thrived under pressure. Also, Horry was more than just a clutch shooter. The guy had a knack for making clutch defensive plays too. He played the passing lanes and provided help side defense. He had a very high defensive IQ and was one of the biggest reasons we shut down that hot Orlando Magic perimeter shooting in the finals. Anderson is giving you none of this. Never. Ever. Get rid of Anderson and his contract before he chokes second playoffs in a row and even his mom disowns him. I mean its bad as it is when a team like Knicks want no piece of him. My daily prayer: Please god...let some team be stupid enough for just one day to trade for Ryan Anderson.
The stakes are higher , especially in the playoffs Robert Horry Never got out of the first round of the playoffs, EVERY YEAR he played. he was the 2nd best player, i would say over Drexler in 95 in the finals
