This shows you know nothing about Horry.
Because the media shows him jacking up 3s doesn't make him comparable to Ryan Andersen.
Robert played great defense and was solid shot blocker. Also the younger Horry was a very athletic player who had monster dunks

Many of these youngsters never saw Horry in his prime.

Horry started for the Rockets because of his defense and his open court play. He also could hit the open 3. He was our big 3 and D guy at the Forward/Center possition. Maxwell and Ellie were the other 3 and D at the guard/forward possitions. Carl Harrera was our ambidextreous big off the bench who could post up, and hit open jumbers (d-mo'ish). Matt Bullard was probably the best 3 point shooter on the team then, like Ryan Anderson is now, but there is a reason Matt came off the bench: Horry was a better all around defender. Seriously...Zhou Qi is the closest player to Robert Horry's body/athletic ability/skillset than we've ever had since trading away Horry for Charles Barkley in 1996. Thus is why I like Zhou Qi so much considering his current age and rawness.

No, they're very different players, and I don't think replicating the exact same team as the back-to-back championship teams would give us a championship these days. Its a much different league now. With that being said, I hope we get Melo.

Plus I don't think Horry get nearly as much as he deserves for feeding the post... He was so good at getting that ball to Dream.....

I absolutely agree....Horry was a much better player. My point is that no trade may be better for the Rockets as it was back in 94. Sometimes we don't appreciate what we have. Anderson may be a sharpshooter we end up missing when gone as he is a perfect fit for a D'Antoni type offense.
