No chance. That's why getting TRob is a step in the right direction. Him and Asik should make for a great 4-5 wall

yeah we have good defensive pieces in asik and parsons, we could potentially have another piece with t-rob if he pans out. in the bigger picture we need better defense, and defense takes experience and discipline. out players have to know where they need to be on the court and when. mchale is a more defensive minded coach, we score in transition if we played good defense.

It's possible. Kyle Korver is a FA next year, he can be our back-up PF. We can trade for Ryan Anderson or Ilyasova to play the 5 and we will have the best spacing in the league.

One of the most well known uptempo teams of the recent era were the 8 seconds or less suns with nash and amare. They went the furthest (wcf) and in my opinion could have beaten the spurs if not for the horry check and the ensuing suspensions.

However, contrart to belief that the suns had no defense, they did have elite defenders in marion as well as some role players. At that time, a young amare was also a good weak side defender.

Therefore, I DO belive that a team with pure offense can win it. BUT based on historical statistics, teams with strong defences win. This is similar to the situation in which people use the pistons as a team for an example of a team with no set superstar winning it. Yes it did happen but they were almost an outlier.

I like this rockets offense but i would like it to have perimetre and paint defenders also. Asik is good for this and parsons, although he has regressed defensively is good too.

In concusion, I feel the rockets could win a champonship with this offense because some of the players we have and could aquire in the future will be good enough two way players that can defend and run the uptempo.

ps. This is not taking into account the age and conditioning of the player because running an uptempo offense and playing defense takes a toll and sacrifices in effor need to be made.

I don't think small ball is necessarily Morey's idea. He stated during the press conference that they traded the two pfs so they can free up playing time for Trob, Dmo or Tjones.

The Genius Coach had other plans.
