Aren't the maple trees in Lost Maples State Park changing colors in a few weeks. It is probably the most beautiful place in Texas during October.
Some places have to be booked even further in advance. I'm already looking at our spring outing. The membership is well worth it, too, if you're planning multiple trips within a year.
I looked that up, they are starting soon. The park website keeps a weekly photo journal of the change in foliage. I wish it was closer. I ended up booking at Martin Dies Jr. State Park just south of Sam Rayburn. Has anyone been here before?
