    From the Oregonian:

Of course, we don't know what happened in Portland that leads to a toxic situation and Camby has worked productively for many coaches in the past (including Nate McMillan until recently). However, it does make one curious how he gets along with the new coaching staff.

    He'll be fine here.

Once again, Nate was the one that screwed it up in Portland. That roster was built to play uptempo, fast break basketball. The engine was Felton. They brought the guy in this season and signed Jamal Crawford. They had the glass eater (Camby) to gobble up boards while the guards ran out. They had everything working early and were actually bored because they were blowing teams out early.

Nate screwed it all up by trying to force slow-down half-court set it up and run shot clock basketball on them. That's on him. Good coach. But he made a stupid decision in trying to force that team to become something else. They were still good in half-court because they were going. He forced the slow down on them. He created the mutiny. It's on him. He took a team that was capable of getting to the WC finals and sent them to the lottery.

I think camby likes houston so he's probably not gonna give any of the staff or team problems.

He'll be a fan favorite most likely after his first game when he gobbles down about 14 boards and shuts down the lane, and then hits a couple 17 footers.

He's always wanted to play here since he lives here and he hates moving teams. Rockets will be his final stop in the league.

I agree. The question is how soon that will be.

Also not worried about his attitude on the thug barometer. Camby has been in this league a long time. He is what he is a talented defensive minded center. Right behind Howard and Chandler who loves his weed. He isn't as bas as Kobe Francis or Ron Artest or even a spoiled Melo. Plus a good team can absorb one talented thug/punk/brat, (Not saying Camby is one) It's when they get 2, 3, 4, 5 of them on the same squad that starts the downfall. And a perfect attitude and Camby probably wouldn't have been available.

On a another note. Got to wonder if The trailblazers didn't want to become the Jailblazers agai. And that was the real reason why they scrapped the team.

Obviously, he hates Irish-American head coaches.

We should monitor the situation closely.

Its easy to pass blame on the guy that just got traded. Funny no mention of Jamal Crawford in here who has noticeably absent from the Knicks game the night before the trade deadline.

Look that team was in shambles. The old vet has been there and done that. If for some reason his attitude is bad here in Houston its not like they are offering him the max or anything. The Rockets arent asking much of Camby. Just give us 10 to 20 minutes a night off the bench with good interior defense and rebounding.

Camby isn't exactly a model citizen like Mutombo, but hopefully, he will be fine in Houston.

I have had Camby on many fantasy teams over the years, and one thing that is strange with him is that (even this year) for stretches of a few games, he puts up unbelievable numbers (like 22 rebounds, 5 blocks or something like that) and then he almost completely disappears for stretches.

I guess with Dalembert and Camby, we just have to look who is bringing it and if one doesn't, put in the other.

If he doesn't develop into a locker room cancer, I would be quite satisfied with him being on the Rockets for another couple of years or so.

They sat him because of the POR/MIN/LAL trade that did not go through.
