I guess we can't officially sign him until 7/11, but hope we have a verbal deal with him already.

this needs to get done, like yesterday. You can never have enough 7-foot shot-blockers.

So does Camby become trade bait now his asking price is $3 mil?

The Rockets could S&T trade him in a package. They can give him a contract up to $13 mil without hitting BYC status but make it partially guaranteed, for eg $3 mil guaranteed.

If the team agrees to waive him, he potentially signs elsewhere for another $3 mil. Doubling what he thought he could make next season.

At that price, I think the man gets to pick whichever team he wants. Here's hoping that he picks Houston and teach the youngsters how to be a smart player. If we sign him, though, then we may have to let Livingston go to sign Asik.

I hope he stays. He's a pleasure to watch on the court. And a local guy. If he had younger legs (and shoulders and ...), it would be Asik getting 12 minutes a game. But Camby will be a great mentor and a guy who can contribute some quality minutes.

I'd love to have Camby back.

And still wishing for Speights, but realizing it will be Asik.

He should retire in Houston, his home.

Exactly, a experienced vet that is still willing to bust his chops and potentially can help the development in the locker room. We need that badly at this point. Otherwise who do our young bigs look up to, especially if we trade Scola, you trust Patrick Patterson with that responsibility?

Wow...the Rockets should jump on ths really reasonable deal...

Im sure Miami would love to add a player like Camby...by getting rid of dead weight...
