Yeah if he could do that he’d still be a rocket.

I think that one's pretty easy to put together tbh. He probably thought he was being unjustly held down and that our coaches had it out for him, and thought he was moving to be a star player. Instead he's actually worth what we got for him and he's seen as an end of bench reclamation project. Late first round picks with very few minutes, numbers or accolades don't get traded to be stars/starters often whilst still on their rookie contract. They're moved for a reason.

I doubt he planned on a bench role with the Wizards. Like the several Cam fans on this forum, he probably saw himself becoming a superstar scorer because of his supposedly enormous talent. Reality is gonna hit Cam this season and it may not feel good. Just be glad he's gone.

On draft night it could have been Cam instead of Amen. That sounds crazy now but at the time it was a real possibility. The thought of Cam and Green sharing forced court time is just so scary as a fan.

Someone can pull up those threads, I know I'm good in them lol because I always thought Amen had a high ceiling...

But I remember there were a lot of people here who preferred Cam over Amen.

Well, Piston could’ve went with Cam but instead they went with Thompson (well at least his twin). Looks like 15 teams that passed on Cam were right

We shoulda got pods but worriers beat us to the punch. Cam is damaged goods in all ways. He’s so wrapped up in leg gear as a young buc + he a violent player, no grace, physically or emotionally. He won’t last very long.

I haven’t watched either of his preseason games but stat wise it doesn’t look like he played that bad. Maybe I’m missing something. Body language or pouting maybe…

Best fit for Cam probably is a capped out veteran team who has no picks to get young talent. Given his low salary Washington was under no obligation to give him runway with a starter role. Just hope his case isn’t yet another Terrence Williams story. The nba has a very long history with these guys who has superstar talent, but don’t have the humility and drive to realize what you actually have to do to get playing time.

Hope it works out with Washington but I doubt it’s a good fit.
