How much does DD love Cam?

 

gets me to thinking, if you take out running fast in a straight line and jumping high straight up, what above average basketball talent or skill does JG have?

 

How about Cam?

i shouldn't be but i'm shocked this thread persists (i guess largely because of one really obsessed dude). cam is gone and i am glad, we are on a mission and don't have time to babysit this kid. he was given ample opportunity to take a **** and relieve us all of his attitude. instead, he got off the pot and went straight to the bench to pout. GET OVER IT GUYS

 

that's the thing, Cam wasn't even give enough minutes and chances to develop and showcase what ever he has

but I think Cam has a nice shooting touch and strength

 

And yet his shooting % isn’t all that impressive. Keep in mind that’s mostly against bench or garbage time defense.

 

yeah 2nd year limited minutes and chances Cam has same shooting as 4 year all the minutes and chances JG

says more about JG than Cam

Cam’s way of winning games is to shoot the ball as much as he can. Nothing else matters to him. Unless his mindset changes, I’m not sure he can contribute much to winning basketball. Talk is cheap.

There is going to be a ton of competition for minutes in Washington. Unless the Wizards deal some of these wings, it's going to be tough to see who gets minutes. It's not going to be a cake walk. Cam is going to have to do more than talk & shoot to get minutes, much less win the East! LOL!!!

I'll be honest - I just don't get the extreme reactions on this board around Cam (or Jalen for that matter). I didn't see anything he did in Houston that would make him HATED...or worshiped in DD's case. Cam's a really young guy with a lot of promise but just because we are Rockets fans and we needed an electric scorer to work out - it's not Cam or Jalen's fault they just aren't those guys and probably never were.

If a 19yr old who has been praised for his basketball skills literally every day of his entire life enters the league and becomes disappointed with his role on the team and his play - it's not a tragic character flaw if they sulk as an emotionally immature kid being faced with a situation for the first time in their life that they can't control on a basketball court. That just means they have more growing to do - but we are in a situation where we can't wait for the growth because being the 2nd seed last year put us on notice as a fringe contender....so we should be the more emotionally mature fans and say bye bye to Jalen and Cam and wish them luck in the future instead of being bitter immature babies about the fit and timing not working out for us.

The irony of Cam being roasted on this board by fans displaying the same whiny attitude they are complaining about Cam for is THICK.

 

Yep, see this is how it gets started......I believe Cam is going to be good, yes.

However, my point in this thread is not that I LOVE CAM - it is that we gave away an asset for nothing -no reason at all, when we should be holding onto talent.

We kept JaSean Tate for instance - why?

It just seems DUMB to me to give up on a 21 year old that when he plays is effective and is finally coming along under Ime's tutelidge.

You don't give up on talent....every single player we signed has less talent than Cam....all of them.......why give up on a 21 year old....seems stupid, frankly.

Talent is how you win big in the playoffs.
