Why? He can pass the ball - but his role is to shoot it, and he is the BEST shooter on the team? Pass it to whom a worse player? DD
The best player on the court is the player with the best shot available. Cam is great, but as a team the Rockets this season haven't learned when to stop driving into triple coverage too often.
I think this in much more fundimental and difficult to change than it would seem. I would say that maybe you should temper expectations a little bit. Hakeem worked very hard to learn to pass over about 4 seasons and went from turnover machine to a'aight passing the ball. And thats a biy of s stretch because it was in context of post offense. I cant think of too many other natural scorers who suddently learned to pass. Usually the scorers who can pass come into the league that way. Would love it if he was a distributor, but I'm not optimistic that it will happen. Maybe some limited incremental improvement.
I'm not asking for CP3. Just add the team game. 0.6 apg isn't great. But I do realize he's only freaking 19.
By your logic, the best player on the team should never pass the ball because he will always pass to a worse player.
I have a theory that the @DaDakota hard push on Cam Whitmore is some reverse psychology stuff to get half the board to NOT like Cam Whitmore. #Respect to the Silverback
Getting his nails done? Who cares. Gice the guy the John Wall treatment and don't let him anywhere near the team.
