Not really tonight, I am on a Vengeance tour....haha... Nah, Amen should be used reasonably..... He should not carry the rock too much. Make him a wing and he is better for it......just get someone like Tre Jones....
It will be a process for sure--but give it a few years and I'm betting those two will be the guys with the ball in their hands on 95% of possessions, and they're going to be great.
Of course but what is the record you envision with them.... Or is Udoka still the coach when they are 28? Give me Alexandre Sarr and they will build around him or Cody Williams.
82-0 I won't complain if we get Cooper Flagg in 2025 though. Not that high on anybody in the 2024 class personally, including Sarr
I thought Flagg was bigger........6'8 is an awkward size .... Defensive Josh Giddey with a shot......hmmmm Flagg is also not listed as a volume scorer and just a good scorer. In this league you either have to be Curry or have Wemby size.....otherwise it is going to be much harder. Freak of Nature or Freak of Skills. Basically Flagg is a better Jabari Smith Junior.
wait Cooper is only 6'8??? for some reason I thought he was at least 7 feet by the way people are hyping him
And at 43% in this span. This isn’t some I took 50 threes and made 14 of them Killa Cam. Cam Buckets is real.
I would be real gradual with giving him more minutes, and still have a quick trigger on pulling him for certain kinds of mistakes. Need to make sure we don't indulge his worst tendencies so that he continues to get better. It's really hard to improve decisionmaking and court vision, it takes repeatedly reinforcing good habits and beating down the bad ones.
It’s only a matter of time. And he’s absolutely earned it. He’s way farther ahead at this point than anyone really expected. The production in the minutes he’s getting is just flat out impressive. Now he’s closing out games, blocking shots, hitting big shots, fueling comebacks. He’s clearly a problem for other teams. Clock is ticking
Certainly love to see it. And, how many of those guys are elite finishers...elite 3 level scorers.. But, putting away all the stats..just watching Cam..it's pretty obvious. I remember watching TMac come into games at 18 or 19 during mop up time ...and thinking, this kid's gonna be incredible. Well, that's how I feel about Cam. Cam's a closer already, and is going to be a superstar. I don't say that lightly either.
I think he is probably hard-capped below true superstar level. He might get fairly close, like All-NBA. My problem is I have a hard time envisioning him ever averaging more than like 3.5 assists or so even in his prime years, and that really hurts his ceiling. I can't think of anybody I would describe as "superstar" at SG or SF who averaged that few assists at his peak. You can still become an all-time great, HoF level talent without being a superstar though. I agree that his talent as a pure scorer looks special.
