I agree. I just think sometimes the answers to these mysteries in sports isn’t exactly a major conspiracy and just weird human being stuff. Like remember what Clutch said and what was really going on behind the scenes with KPJ. It was just a culmination of silly stuff like having the “Harden Locker.” Sports can just be like that. Given that Cam is 20 years old and seeing the way we can see he carries himself like physically in his demeanor that’s probably enough of a brew in sports to be a reason a coach just doesn’t want to play you if they don’t have to. Not saying Ime is in the right for it, but it’s just one of those things with coaching. Coaches are humans and can tend to be silly about how they react to the small things with big decisions that impact people’s sports lives or lives in general. I mean the way I react to my daughter have a sh$t attitude in our game this afternoon could be a reason why she quits basketball and gets like into something else like band (nothing wrong with that… don’t come at me band nerds). Just saying … sports are weird man.
Oh yeah don’t even get me started on the Brook Lopez trade cluster fck. At the time I thought that was possibly a fireable offense, and just horrible asset mgmt. If you really want to get me going let’s talk about the 3 opportunities passed to get value for Eric Gordon… or the Oladipo situation etc etc. Like I get it… Stone has overall done well, but holy crap there has been some rookie asset mismanagement mistakes, and overplaying of hands in deals. Anyways.. don’t want to wake up the Stone only fans here but yes I get your point and agree. We probably missed our window to move Cam for value and we’ll likely have egg on our faces in a couple of years.
There is one tidbit with Kevin Porter if he never experienced violence with his dad and so. Seattle breeds talents and guess who is all from Seattle. Kevin, your GM Stone and Banchero.
Look, I've been super critical of Whitmore but he has to get at least 10 minutes a night. He's just too talented to rot on the bench.
Cam w0nt be traded anytime s00n, he is 20.. unlike Tari wh0 is 0ld[will be 24 0n May 10], and needs t0 be evaluated right n0w
Cam has zero leverage to "demand" anything. Hopefully his agent is telling him antagonizing the Rockets is the worst thing he can do.
Cam making dEmAnDS! LOL, bro what are you on... He can't demand jackshit, let alone a trade. At this point, with everything he has done to create doubt in Ime, he's lukcy they let him in the building. Cam needs to fix his ****, whatever "****" is, he and Ime know, or start learning Chinese.
That is naive, to say the least. He can make it very uncomfortable, many have done it before. Think of it this way, if he is not going to get a shot in Houston - then he should for his own sake do whatever it takes to get the hell out of here. Watching Tate play over him is maddening,, Stone should have traded Tate for a half eaten bag of doritos. DD
It might Sam, there is no guaranteeing he gets to where he wants to go as a player, but he is losing money being here, he is losing valuable development time - for his own good, he should be the squeaky wheel and look to get out. DD
Jae’Sean is a winning player who makes winning plays. Cam is not. If Cam was, he would play more. This isn’t complicated.
JaSean Tate is NOT a winning player, he shouldn't EVER be on a Rocket's court again - Stone should trade Ime's little security blanket and force him to develop some of the guys he has to make a decision on......Tate is not a difference maker ....needs to go. DD
It’s year 2 on this player and still getting stonewalled by the coach. Why draft if there is not any chance of development?

Jae'Sean Tate is the ideal 9th/10th man for a team. Rockets gave him financial security 3 years ago, he makes no demands for playing time and gives everything he has when they call on him. His abilities are limited, which really shows up when they use him too often. That said, at least 3-4 games each season he's a difference-maker. Every team (except probably OKC) wishes they had a bulldog like Tate. Don't worry though, his contract is expiring after the season and he probably won't be back. You hate Tate and Holiday but it's good to have vets like them and Uncle Jeff with cheap contracts that have their heads screwed on, who practice hard, play hard when called upon and don't complain about their small roles. They set great examples for the youngsters and can step in when youngsters like Cam and Reed don't earn playing time.
Sam, hold on a sec. I really want to agree with you this time so please take D-Mo off the list. I'm not saying he was anything special and maybe DD overhyped him to the moon. I don't remember at all. He had a very solid year one season and was a legit, good rotation player before the back injury torpedoed his NBA career. The V-Mac and Smoki fanatics on the forum back in the day were hilarious.
I don't hate Holiday, I hate Tate. His back didn't torpedo anything Morey did.... And we are talking about Cam - if he wants out, who can blame him? Players should look out for their OWN self interests, careers are short they should try to maximize their earnings...Cam won't get that here unless we move people like Jalen or Brooks. DD
