I disagree. I expected KPJ to be the backup 2/6th man, with Amen as the backup PG, leaving Whitmore with an unclear role. If KPJ is cut (and he should be), the lineup is pretty clear: FVV / Green / Brooks / Smith / Sengun Amen / Whitmore / Tate / Eason / Langdale With Holiday as the third guard, Jeff Green as the third wing, and Bruno as the third center.
Green is gonna b in the starting line up before amen. Why would we start both fvv and amen (pgs?) What are u smoking?
If you watched the Jets game last night you know how professional sports goes. Cam and Amen need to be ready to play. You don’t want to be in a situation like TyTy was in where you don’t step up and assert yourself early and next thing you know your coach falls in love with Deshaun Nix.
not exactly much of a correlation. Zach Wilson came in and stunk it up. he wasn't by any means ready to play. The Jets defense was literally the reason why they won last night
2nd unit takes a hit with Porter's ish, but they will still have a nice bench rotation. Amen, Cam and Tari are going to be hungry no doubt. Especially Tari. You know he's gonna grind to start. Less than a month til game time. Gon b nice!
Trial by fire, let him be. Jalen and Jabari went through it and I think they're ready to explode this season.
Cam might be the biggest winner of this entire ordeal. He went from probably only getting RGV minutes to getting some meaningful NBA minutes
Rarely do nba teams use 10 player rotations, it’s usually 9 or rather 8 + 1 with fringe minutes. Assuming Udoka loves Tate as much as the reports, we were forced into a 10 man rotation with kpj. Now that he’s gone we will likely run a typical 9 man rotation, so this doesn’t really impact Cam - he still won’t get minutes at the start of the season and will have an opportunity to fight for a spot later on. The biggest change is kpj’s 25 minutes will now be distributed to Amen, Brooks who will play some sg now, Tari and Tate.
