This is why we need more talent, guys get injured all the time. Good thing we will have at least 1 lotto pick in the draft.
Why would they tank? They would only be helping OKC get a better pick. There is no way they land in the Top 4 barring a miracle.
watching his highlights, some pointed out that he needs to work on his landing after dunking or else he'll end up like derrick rose. and i agree. someone needs to discuss with him about his landing with two feet instead of just one.
Could be back before: He has a sprained (lateral collateral ligament), the ligament in the knee and outside the knee,” Rockets coach Ime Udoka said Tuesday. “So, it’s a three-week timetable as well. Felt some tightness in his knee in the game. Got that checked out. Kind of played through that. We’ll wee how he progresses with rehab and treatment, as well. They say three weeks, but it could be a shorter timetable based on how he reacts to it.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/ot...miss-three-weeks-with-knee-injury/ar-BB1jMZMk
There is no chance the Rockets can finish bad enough to be bottom 4, it is mathematically impossible at this point. If the Rockets wanted to do a tank run (a dumb idea given the odds of top 4 were low anyway) they should have kept losing but it's too late now. The Rockets could fall past the hawks but that doesn't move the needle. The Jazz are facing a top 10 pick condition to keep so there is no way they go below 10. Passing "up" Brooklyn actively hurts the Rockets for obvious reasons. Everyone else is too far to reach. The Rockets are closer to the play in than below 9. There's no tanking happening. The OKC pick is gone - no incentive to make it better.
Like I said the Rockets would have to fall past Utah and Atlanta and Brooklyn to go from a 91% chance of forfeiting their pick to an 80% chance of forfeit (and make themselves worse off by pushing Brooklyn down) - not likely to happen, nor would they want it to.
