The one that doesn't win rookie of the year, make 2 pro bowls and 98.6 rating by his fifth year with a 60% win clip.
Trick question, none of them will ever be NFL QB's And as for college Vince in 05 was the best, but 2010 newton is a close second though. Tebow wasn't nearly as good as those two, but he was great for 3 years, Vince and Newton were only great for one.
One of the dumbest plays I have ever seen in CFB is when VY decided to run on a 4th and 30+ vs Kansas. UT needed to score to win. Idiotic for VY to think he could run for a score from that far. r****ded. Somehow he converted. Heroic. Amazing. Then he did it again vs the Texans. VY > Newton (pending the title game).
I believe we'll have to wait and compare their Wonderlic scores. (Didn't Cam basically fail everything in Florida -- in addition to theft?)
Cam has never taken out a team like 05 USC...Oregon is not even close. That USC team had so much NFL talent. BSPN was hyping that team to a sickening degree comparing them to the 95 corn huskers and 01 hurricanes before the Rose Bowl.
I'd go VY for college. That offense was amazing. Going forward though in the NFL I'd go Cam Newton without thinking about it.....
Tim tebow had like 55 td his Heisman year. VY was great for two years, and in college VY was god. I mean 4th and 20 and everyone knew he was going to make it.
On the other hand I think it is pretty clear that the overall talent level of the 05 Texas teams (sans Vince) is much higher than the talent level of 10 Auburn (sans Cam). While Vince was the largest factor in the MNC it is silly to give him sole credit. I agree that Cam needs to beat Oregon to truly be in the discussion but I wouldn't say that because Oregon is not as loaded as USC was is a fair argument. Also, people who are claiming VY was dominant for two years need to go back and watch '04 games from the beginning of the season to the OU game. I love Vince as much as anyone but he really only had about 1.5 years of greatness in college.
Tough call to make. Vince was much faster but Cam has a better arm IMO. Vince had the greatest game i've ever seen by a college qb so until Cam tops that 2005 Rose Bowl performance i'll have to lean towards Vince.
Cam Newton always looks like the toughest dude on the field. I wonder when he's going to turn pro, and I'm talking about the NFL.
