Imagine this guy with Reed’s attitude about being sent down to the G-League.

Cam is bringing the fire that Ime Udoka thrives on. Udoka was a passionate player who loved getting under people's skin, and now he's doing the same as a coach. Cam’s emotional energy isn't a problem, it's exactly what Ime wants, someone who plays with heart, who wears their emotions on their sleeve. Cam's still figuring out his passing, but the chemistry is not the issue. Ime gets what he's giving, and it’s not a headache, it’s passion, just like Manu Ginobili had before he embraced his role.

I can't believe people are trying to compare him to KPJ. KPJ had known mental health issues before we traded for him. We gave him a chance and then he abused his girlfriend and got kicked out. You compare that to being upset you're not playing? Ridiculous.

And no one can diagnose a personality disorder or mental health disorder based on body language during a basketball game. That's asinine.

Cam played well last year and then got his role reduced. He's rightfully upset about that. Maybe he could show better "body language" about that but I think his body language doesn't mean anything at all. I don't think his coach or teammates care about stuff that people dream up on CF.

I'm all for giving Cam more chances and patience
    not trading Brooks

    But Stone's worst move?

For the last 10 games 20 yr old Cam has played
    12.5 PPG on less than 19 Mins/GM
23.8 PTS per 36 Mins (best after JG)
7.1 REBS per 36 Mins (better than Jabari)
7.1 STLS per 36 Mins (slightly better than Amen)
48.0 FG% (3rd best after Amen and Alpi)
    53.7 2FG% (2nd best after Amen)
40.9 3FG% (team best slightly ahead of Brooks)
    92.3 FT% (team best)
+3.0 BPM (2nd best after Amen tied with Alpi)
+5.8 BPM (team best slightly ahead of Amen)
+7.5 NETRTG (2nd best after Amen)
    57.1 TS% (2nd best after Amen)

That's a lot of numbers against second and third stringers.

Per 36 on a team like the Rockets where coaches ask their players to run till exhaustion on defense is useless. A player isn't going to have the same stamina and energy in their legs to score at the same efficiency from when they were playing spot minutes and minutes in garbage time.

Reed is a month OLDER than Cam is and has had a worse season than Cam’s rookie season. Yeah Reed has better media training but he has nothing to be upset about.

I too have been harsh about Reed’s body language but Ime runs a tight ship. There are leaders in this club that will address it with Cam if it starts to affect the team. Allow the youngest player on our team to be himself and hopefully figure it out.

Didn't read any of those numbers. I remember people doing the same thing with KPJ and fortunately I watch basketball not excel spreadsheets. I look at enough spreadsheets at work.

I don't like his selfish style. Can coach help him change? I hope so and I think Ime is the guy for the job. I don't have any doubt in his ability and I don't have an issue with his attitude in fact I like his dog mentatlity. It's his selfish style I have an issue with.

People will catastrophize anything. Cam is 20 years old and wants playing time. He has slightly moody body language and he suddenly needs to be traded and is a future violent psychopath. You all are the type of managers that would have a "difficult" conversation with an employee for wearing the 15 minimum required pieces of flair.

I watch his last 10 games and Cam makes 53% on 2 pointers and 40% on three pointers does your eyes show Cam's shooting worse? Maybe its Cams postgame and facial expression right?

has KPJ ever shot 53% on 2 pointers and 40% on three pointers?

I never talked about his shooting and I also said I don't have an issue with his attitude (I believe it can be used as a massive positive). It's his selfish style of play I haven't liked since last year. I already said all that but I guess I'll just say it again and we'll just repeat each other back and forth

He is an enticing trade piece. Find a team that needs to plug and play. Make a deal. Still say he is one of the most talented players in the league. Enormous potential on the right team. However, I would only trade if absolutely necessary, like he won't adjust and affects the team negatively.

The interview after the mavs win? He is barely 20 and he has to ride the bench on a sport he probably loves. You don't think its just him wanting to play and not being able to that is the issue? Not sure what you are trying to read into.

Ima have to hit him with the Rock "Know your Role . . . "

If we were below .500 and struggling then yes, by all means play the young guys over Brooks and Vanvleet. But, we're almost at the mid-point of the season their record is not a fluke. The team's focus is on home court in the playoffs. They need to go with what is working. Cam has to earn his playing time just like everyone else.

I guess it’s just me, but I don’t really see a huge deal with anything. I could see if he had bad body language after missing a few shots like he was earlier in the season but after the game I could care less about your demeanor so long as you turn it on when it’s game time. Plus Cam’s a bit standoffish anyways, that’s sort of the reason he dropped in the draft because he’s to himself and isn’t very expressive

I'm not sure about that. He's not Manu. We can hope but he's obviously not there yet. I don't like his body language and pouting. He has always had issues surrounding him. He needs to grow up

He does need to grow up. I really needed to grow up at 20. I can't imagine what an a**hole I would've come off as a 20 year old millionaire with folks putting mics in my face and saying stuff like you're going to end up in jail or you have daddy issues like posters on this site. People should just lay off the kid and let the organization decide if he is worth the investment or not. Keep the comments at a basketball level, good or bad. Sometimes I love the internet, sometimes I hate it.

Actually think I would have been more mature gifted the opportunity to do something that I loved with generational wealth but that's a guess. I agree that nobody should have implied he'd end up in jail or had daddy issues. That's uncalled for. I think people have unrealistic expectations as fans. Look at how they trash Jalen. DD posts like 50 times a day and does his best to never give him credit
