Guys like Watkins can hurt your team, players, free agency, franchise, etc... If you blow it off because we shouldn't care attitude then you couldn't be more wrong.

Beat writers are supposed to be reporters reporting team news, not opinion driven content. He's not a columnist or talkshow host. He's doing it wrong and it can and will hurt the Rockets if he keeps it up.

The dude is just a headline hunter, a clickbait troll, and he's revealed his thought process in his latest piece:

    http://www.espn.com/blog/houston-ro...-capela-shines-against-76ers-talented-big-men

Why is his default position that you have to dismiss Harden's play? Any other player would be getting unending kudos if they did what Harden is doing. Watkins knows clowning on Harden gets clicks, so that's his M.O.

Pretty disappointing to see that from the Rockets-assigned reporter, when as mentioned earlier in the thread, every other reporter assigned to a particular team by ESPN is consistently effusive in their praise for said team.

It's one thing to cop genuine criticism, and I didn't have any issues with Watkins' reporting last year. But this year, there's a totally different vibe about the team and Harden in particular, but we just keep hearing the same old echoes.

He's on SiriusXM nba channel pumping sunshine about the rockets. Predicting 48 wins 4/5 seed. Tim Leglar is pumping sunshine too
