Somebody make a Dream Shake-like excel file showing all the ESPN NBA people that get fired and who they voted for for MVP. If they get rid of all the Harden voters we need to expose it.

Must not have talked WB enough while covering the Rockets.

Wouldn't wish this on anyone, hope everything works out for the best with him.

I've never thought he was a particularly good columnist. So much of his content just seemed like repackaged material and generalized stuff everyone had known for weeks, and I regularly catch errors in his articles and social media posts. But if Clutch thinks he's a good guy, then I'll take his word for it. I would never wish for anyone to lose their jobs.

In ESPN's huge layoff plan they are laying off a lot of "niche beat reporters." Sad to hear this. But not surprised. Say what you want about Watkins, but he helped get the Rockets exposure on ESPN. There is no advocate now.

I am sure Royce Young's (Thunder) job is safe.

I believe you but can you explain his sketchy tweets and articles? He clearly loved throwing jabs at the team and Harden during certain times. I never understood his approach.

I'm speculating here, but I think the reason it's popular to "bash" the Rockets is because that stance garners more audience engagement than reporting in a positive the team in a positive manner.

Can we boycott ESPN yet? Besides their good mobile fantasy sports app, they've pretty much become extraneous in the process of our consumption of Houston-based sports entertainment. I'm in St. Louis now with MLB TV and have been a cordcutter for over 4yrs with no issues at all. Die ESPN, die like the dinosaur newspaper companies that you thought you'd triumphed over.

Twatkisn should have stuck to being pro Mavs and should have voted Westbrook for MVP. May have kept his job. The moment he showed some Rockets bias, he was canned

ESPN let/is letting go of a lot of good people today (and kept all the "bad" ones). Calvin? LOL

He can go back to Dallas now, where he always wanted to be & where he came from. Good riddance, bye.

Ethan Strauss(Warriors) & Justin Verrier(Pelicans) also lost their jobs today (from the NBA side).

I still remember that time that Calvin got so upset until he found Hobbes in the dryer. He was so relieved.

If he wasn't anti-Rockets, he has certainly made some of the most strangely backhanded tweets regarding the Rockets that I have ever seen.

A ton of his older tweets have been deleted, but he has some insanely Dallas-centric, anit-Houston vibes.

If only he shilled for Westbrook all year long for MVP, he'd have been promoted.

I can't wait to see the new ESPN AI reporter bot's anti-Rockets agenda.
