the question is why did lin not play in OT .. even on the last few offensive plays of the regulation, lilliard scored all of blazers points, and the shots taht he missed were open 3s so it is not like douglas was doing a great job on him even in regulation. The minute douglas came in lilliard drilled a 3, next possession he missed a wide open 3

in the OT they ran 4 consecutive plays for lilliard where they switched parsons on him, so it didnt matter who the pg was bc parsons was guarding lillard .. so you could have just as easily had lin and been more effective on offense..how many shots did TD miss in OT>?

will be interesting to see how morey deals with this debacle. gotta figure a head will roll at somepoint this season. quite sure a new coach next year. not playing to the strengths of either lin or harden since third game. Is rather hard to watch. wow.

when you suck at everything else, you tend to put a little more emphasis on D. that's Toney D for you.

Im just going off eye test. I will agree that TD is a little better defensively. But haters/racists assume Lin to be some slow footed muffa****a that can't guard anyone on D.

Those are the kind of generalization and misconception that spreads around and casual viewers just latch onto and latch onto, simply cuz they like to stereotype.

Prime example not related to Lin: The Blazers commentators immediately compared Parsons to Budinger......hmmm....why? Because we all know Budinger was a stud defender like Parsons too, right? But because they both white and can shoot it (and "move alike") , they HAVE to be compared with each other , right?

No video yet on rockets.com, what was Samson's excuse for not playing Lin in OT?

Lin is really being under-utilized by Rox coaching. If anyone watched his NYK games last year, he has a big upside on offense, if utilized better (like D'Antoni did). He drew alot of fouls off of high pick & roll plays, run specifically for him. Those plays put alot of pressure on the other team's guards. Currently he is forced to look for shots. He is not CP3, Westbrook, Deron Williams, or any of those elite PGs. But that doesn't mean he can't score. Coaching needs to learn from D'Antoni and how he put Lin in a situation that took pressure off of his own team, and created pressure for the other team's guards.

Lin is only getting 8 or 10 shots a game. But he is excelling on the other stats. In fact, his rebounds are up from last year, his assists are up from last year, his steals are up from last year (4th in the league), and his TOs are down from last year.

It's a shame Rox coaching is not using him to full potential. Just sad.

If Lin was guarding Lillard then they wouldn't have ran a pick for Lillard. He would've just tried to take Lin 1 on 1....at least thats what I'd like to think.

Sampson thought Lin would've gotten beat by the ISO plays against Lillard.

I hate to burst your bubble, but Lin is an elite iso defender.

    im ok with this loss.

For the first time in this season Lin played as PG.

We are in the right direction now.

    Everything will be ok.

Again, yall watch any of the games or tonight?

You don't think Lillard tried to force some 1on1 against Lin at all prior to that last shot? He did and Lin did a good job of staying front and forcing him to pass it out.

That last shot by Lillard was just superstar type Ish man.

If TD's slightly better defense was warranted, then he wouldn't have let the switches happen to go underneath screens against a clutch good shooter like Lillard.
