Basically a group of Utah (My goodness) and both LA teams are running away with it.

The East have 2 at the top with Celts and Nets trailing.

 

The East is still trash. They only have 5 teams .500 or above. The West has 11 teams. And the East's best team is tied with the 3rd team in the West.

 

Don’t care none about any of this stuff. If winning in the short run hurts us in the long run I’m all about shutting it down. Wood is another ankle injury from the end of his career. We need wood to win. Boogie is reverting back to his victimy ways. We need MPJr. playing next John Wall and Eric Gordon for mentor ship.

I'm not.

We are in the absolute worst spot to be in the league, borderline not in the playoffs, no upside, and dumb owner.

We are just good enough to not make the playoffs, not get a pick, and we might even be stupid enough to SPEND assets to try and make the playoffs.

Honestly, if you had told me after Morey resigned this is what our situation would be, I'd be shocked at how much better it is than I expected.

 

Why do you think we have no upside? We have some promising young players. They might not turn out to be stars. But they look like they can be developed into solid rotation players. We have a boatload of picks. Both Harden and Durant are on the other side of 30. Durant has injury history. The Nets picks will be good in about two or three years. That's about the same time frame for tanking to rebuild. And Stone seems to be a sensible GM who won't make outrageously dumb moves that might squander our assets.

The ownership is the biggest worry. An owner who only cares about saving money does not bode well for the team's well-being. Adding to the fact that he has the propensity of meddling in basketball decisions, it doesn't look good. But that cannot be help. It has nothing to do with the basketball position we are in. Even if we have a very good team now, a bad owner can ruin it in a heart beat. We saw it just this past offseason.

 

FYI, Just so you know, we’re probably gonna hit some all time economic lows. The question is when... I don’t blame Tillman for wanting to save money. He is restructuring everything. Trust me this guy has money stashed. He didn’t build a 150 million dollar superyacht cause he’s dumb. You’ve spent and spent and spent trusting your team... no championship. We are fans - we don’t really know what goes on behind the scenes. At least he brought someone in that makes good decisions for the team not just himself (Harden). He’s gonna recoup. He’s done well despite what’s going on.

 

The Nets picks being good in 2-3 years is when we need to ready with our new foundation already in place.

We should be aiming for 3 top five picks by the time the Nets picks start paying dividends.
