Lol I ain't backing down. I'll gladly send it over. But let's be realistic. We haven't beat anyone good. All these teams are under 500.

If we keep expectations low, can't be disappointed.

Ride the wave, let's get out of the play-in and get to the 8th spot.

The 'old' Spurs and their new toys are 11-9 too. Crazy.

As it stands right now , they'd keep their own draft pick .... OKC would keep their own pick & Miami's.

One of the trash teams we beat with no Wood, Wall or Oladipo.

Now sIxth in point differential and fifth easiest remaining strength of schedule. I’ve been pounding on those numbers for weeks to all the morons who kept saying “this is at most a play-in team”

It may not be popular but this is the thing that worries me the most and it is a decision that cannot wait. We are 5 games out of worst record and one loss out of 4th in the West. We are a 40 win team right now and the NBA's feel good story that is on a treadmill going nowhere. We traded Harden for Oladipo and become a more team oriented offense and defense that dispersed those opportunities and minutes so there is no real drop-off from the team we were before. We're going to beat every bad or undermanned team and lose to the good teams and have an inflated record because we try hard.

One of the problems we needed to solve with Silas we have in finding other players that can play with our young guys and be a cohesive unit that can grow and play well together for the future. He is the right coach. The problem is that unit crowds out minutes from our young guys and we carry aging assets that have no value to us but plenty to others. We really need our assets ALIGNED in terms of age and contracts. Wall has to stay because of a horrible contract but good play. Cousins stays. Wood stays. Tucker and Gordon no matter how loved need to go while they can with Exum's detritus. Do we keep Oladipo through a rebuild on a new contract? No. Even with growing, the team we have now can go NOWHERE. Nwaba, Jones, Tate, House, Wood all need to play more and maybe eventually Porter.

If we do not tank or rebuild and retool what SUPERSTAR is out there right now that we need on this team that puts us over the top and can be had through trade. Let's look out East. We aren't getting Butler or Siakam and Beal doesn't help us. We have the guard play on lockdown but are missing the other dominant 3&D presence and size just like we were last year. Kevin Durant plays for the Nets and they don't play D. Hell, it's more likely we have a better shot in FA after next year with Harden and Durant than any of those previous options. Nobody is available out West except for our MPJ pipe dream. Our next STARs are likely in the draft. It may be next to impossible to envision but we desperately need to tank because if we won't do it now because of the OKC pick swap we never will in the future. They don't interact with us again until 2025. What are the trades and targets for Tucker, Gordon, and Oladipo? Who are our main FA and trade targets next year/after next year and how do we align now to get them with the young talent better developed and ready for the additions? These questions need to be answered for tank or retool. After Harden I don't want the Yaoless Rockets again that lovably lose but fight hard and chant wait for our assets in 2026. Morey failed to use our assets properly with Ryno. I want to bring in some high picks and land two stars in FA when ready to go with a mountain of young talent and all that ability to add more when it makes sense. People need to look at Hinkie's resignation letter. If the league hadn't sent the Colangelo's to sabotage that organization and they got Tatum like he wanted everybody would see things quite differently.

There are 30 teams in the NBA and every year 29 of them believe they're on a treadmill. That's the nature of sports.

Older players like PJ teach younger players how to be successful. Gordon being willing to come off the bench teaches players that being successful is sometimes about sacrificing. Trading them for assets that don't necessarily make us more solid, don't improve our chances at winning in the future. This team is built on sacrifice of self for the team. If you don't have that culture on the team, the future of the team won't have that in the DNA.

It is frustrating not having the top tier talent we've had since Harden's arrival, but we're not giving up and the evidence for that is out there putting together wins. Getting a top name can be great, but there are a lot of ways to do that. Buying low and selling high helps. But you can't buy low and sell high without winning. No one pays for a top tier loser so we have to scrap and fight for wins in the meantime. We're developing chemistry fast, our young players are showing quality, our coach is coaching players up not down, and we're competing every moment out there on the court. That's winning basketball.

We're Houston and the world hates Houston, but we've got some things that haters can't help but love. We're always the underdog and we'll always be that because even when we're poised for greatness.. something tries to take that away. Right now we have things the league can't take away. Heart, desire, coaching wisdom, multitudes of how to beat you, energy, chemistry, and love of the game. Those things you can't take away are adding up and why not see where those end up this year? Our chances aren't worse this year than they were last year. Defense is the foundation for so many championships and we're playing defense better than we have in years. Surely that's better than a blue chip.

There’s like too many teams like Memphis, San Antonio, and Golden State who have no business making the playoffs. Very poor rosters. The West is wide open this year.

What is the point of making the playoffs if you have no realistic shot at winning it all? We have beaten exactly 1 team with a winning record all year..

what is the point of having a brain, imagination and wonderful thinking abilities without realistically using it at all?
