The league rewards #1 picks to new ownership and teams that do their bidding by trading stars to big markets. Its a business, and owners willing to make short term sacrifices to help the league get rewarded.

The league also seems to reward teams that tank hard instead of just being shitty year in and year out, eg: the Magic haven't had a #1 pick since Dwight left, despite being terrible since 2012. Same goes for the Kings. The Pistons sent Blake Griffin to Brooklyn, and got rewarded for it. We were rewarded for the Harden trade by keeping the pick in the first place.

Since Tillman's a new owner, and we'll likely be trading Wood/EG/Both to a contender, chances are we move up 1 spot in return for getting moved down 1 spot last time.

 

I like Keegan Murray as well. Solid overall game.

This is what I've been thinking all along. If we are good enough to make the playoffs after that losing streak, that means these guys are good enough to contend in a year or two.

There is of course the prospect of trading Gordon and/or Wood. If they do, we are looking to lose a lot of games.

 

Winning with vets during a rebuild is counterproductive.

Winning with rookies and young players is not.

Move Gordon and Wood.
