Wisconsin = Big paydays for torts against corporations. I also believe they are plaintiff-friendly. But I am not sure how much money you can get out of JohnMVP since I don't know how much he has. All you have to do now is find a "good" therapist.
Several years ago I sold Rocket tickets to a CF Member here. He said he would mail me the money and I never received it. I was waiting at a gas station on 290 to meet up with him but he never showed up. So I left the tickets with the gas attendant and the CF Member picked them up and went to the game that night. They were 10 rows up center court. I just sold a Poker Table to a CF member and am holding it until next week.
Who was it that never paid? I've done several transactions with people on here and thankfully every one of them has gone smoothly.
Not that I'm planning on doing anything really, but exactly how would that apply if I live here and he lives in Texas?
I'm not sure if this has been considered by anyone but, not knowing where this guy lives, isn't it possible he hasn't contacted you because his power has been out for about a week?
He claimed he was going to have his parents ship it to my house on June 6th. I don't think his power's been out for 3 months.
I was merely asking that in response to you talking about him not responding to you recently. That's all.
Good thing I'll most likely never deal with anyone here to bother keeping track of these warnings Being up in Boston and everything lol
I was just joking about the whole torts thing. You would need a super-duper lawyer and therapist to get the intentional inflictional of emotional distress tort to sell in this case. But since you guys are in different states, they would consider diversity jurisdiction and you would have to file it in federal court. You would probably file it in the district court in Wisconsin and then serve JohnMVP the court summons. Then the court will decide if it wants to apply Texas law or Wisconsin law. Then you go to trial.
You shouldn't think like that because the majority of Clutchfans are amazing people. I have meet a group of Clutchfans in Los Angeles to watch games and they are great people. I also did a transaction over the net with ShadyPink and she was great. She got me a foam "R" and sent it to me. I paid her the money (she didn't even ask for shipping charges) and then a day later, she refunded my whole money. So that shows you that there are good people on here. Just a few soar apples that are in every bunch.
Claim wouldn't satisfy the amount in controversy requirement for diversity jurisdiction. Regarding the OP, that sucks. Everybody I've met or dealt with from the BBS has been very cool.
We are not talking about just the price of the transaction though. Drexlerfan22 is going to go to a "therapist" and get some six-figure intentional infliction of emotional/mental distress "fees" against JohnMVP. That is going to meet the necessary $75,000 that is required for diversity jurisdiction. The transaction was supposed to take place way back in June and it is now September and Drexlerfan22 is still "suffering" for the pain that JohnMVP caused him. So I am sure that the emotional and mental distress he has suffered is worth atleast $100,000+. Poor, poor Drexlerfan22! *I am just joking! I do not in any way condone filing lawsuits with shady therapists and seeking unnecessary damages*
This sounds awfully similar to the transaction you and I had Mo... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=88467 I remember running late, calling you, and you letting me know you'd leave them at the gas station... But I would never intentionally cheat anyone on this forum -- a place that's given so much back to me over the last 6 years... (plus my mom raised me better than that anyway!) I can't exactly remember the details of our arrangement from 4 years ago... So I can't remember for the life of me now what might have happened, except for having an AWESOME time at that game... no idea if I forgot to send you money or if it was simply just a misunderstanding around the terms of our agreement... Unfortunately I don't have the e-mail addresses I used back then, so I can't even back-track how our original correspondence went... ...but if you really are talking about me then let me know and I'd be happy to settle up now... or even just donate a comparable amount to the Tip Jar if that money from four years ago means less to you now...
