Didnt watch second half but I'm glad he turned it around in the second half and turned into MVB. I've always maintained he has MVP talent and skill. Can he play like that consistently?
James had a bad pass or two, but the only mistakes he made last night were obviously the result of exhaustion... otherwise he played a very smart and driven game.
What are you danging about, liar? Didn't he have 4 turnovers in the 1st half? Isn't he on pace to shatter his own record for season high TO's? How you going to twist this, liar?
NOBODY can play like that consistently. There was a stretch Harden was playing 1v5, it seemed, to get the Rockets back. It was unreal to watch!
That dude is a lair. He will take another poster's words and attribute it to you and claim you made it and then when you call him out, he will twist the story I have learned not to take him seriously. His basketball knowledge is severely lacking.
Can he score 46 points a game? Probably not. The fact this team needs him to do that to win is more of an indictment of the team than it is of him, from my perspective.
He really doesn't The offensive excellence is due to his aggression. The turnovers are a byproduct of the aggressiveness. The turnover rate is normal for that level of usage. It really is as simple as that. His point is about as stupid as saying "I am happy you are in great physical condition, but you really need to go to the gym less". He simply doesn't understand, that the turnovers are part of the package.
No. He can't. One game. Amazing performance. He can't do that for 7 games or for four best of four series. Won't work. Yes, you have to watch the game. But even more important than that you have to watch ALL the games. One game does not a season make. Harden is leading the league in turnovers and about to set a record in turnovers. He does not offset those turnovers with enough defense and steals on the other end to justify him being the primary playmaker. And it costs us all around. We have to put high steals guys around him that can't shoot just to help offset all his turnovers. And over the course of a season and the post season it shows and will continue to show. 46 point games included............Harden is STILL the problem with this team. Until and unless he changes his approach to the game we aren't going to win a championship. One game doesn't change a season and career pattern.
My issues with Harden this season have been more about his effort and him being engaged on both ends this season. In the 2nd half, he was fully engaged on both ends, and didn't settle on the offensive end. So I guess this is the wrong thread since it isn't really about his turnovers but whatever.
I noticed at the beginning of the season that he wasn't getting the calls he was getting last year. That might have something to do with it.
Put me down as one who is noticing that in the last month it does seem most of his turnoves are in the first half. I can name three games off the top of my head -- the last two plus the last LAC someone should research that over the last 10 games or so
While you're doing that research, also research how many shots he's taking in the first half versus second half.
No matter how much you repeat this garbage, everyone but you understands that Harden is turning the ball over at an elite rate. It's outstanding really. While some of us have admitted his high usage is part of the reason and is a problem in itself, you are incapable of making an unbiased (non-homer) assessment. Additionally, as Mr. Clutch pointed out, he's somehow managed to be both less aggressive this year and at the same time turn the ball over more. Your "ignorance" i.e., pretending that isn't happening, is cute.
