Too bad you're entire roster wouldn't be enough for Ming or Francis. :p

I have yet to see a proposed trade idea in this thread that would help Houston. In every trade I think we're losing more than we gain.

    PS: In regards to MemphisX

    1. He's a moron
    2. Trolls are morons with nothing better to do

I guess I could have just stated point 2.

You know what's funny is, it's true, no single player on their roster is worth Francis or Ming.

Gasol is a legit 7'0 footer at PF, and you should always pick height when the talent is equal. However, Gasol does NOT have Francis' talent.

Right now, Jerry West WOULD want Kelvin Cato, and you would be CRAZY to disagree judging by West's recent quotes.

I would do the trade to get Swift. While, Swift is similar to EG in that he never lived up to potential. I would rather have Swift than EG. Swift plays more of an inside game and seems to be more athletic than EG. I swear EG got less athletic after leaving Seton Hall.

Ok I have a new trade proposal. This one at first seems a not fair to us but if you look at the depth and the strenghts the players add coming in it seems like a good fit.

Chicago trades: SF Eddie Robinson (5.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.0 apg in 21.2 minutes)
SF Donyell Marshall (13.4 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 30.5 minutes)
PG Jamal Crawford (10.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.2 apg in 24.9 minutes)
PF Corie Blount (3.0 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.0 apg in 16.7 minutes)
Chicago receives: PG Jason Williams (12.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 8.3 apg in 31.7 minutes)
SG Cuttino Mobley (17.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.9 apg in 41.7 minutes)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (2.1 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.2 apg in 5.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -1.1 ppg, -10.7 rpg, and +3.4 apg.

Memphis trades: SG Wesley Person (11.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.7 apg in 29.4 minutes)
PG Jason Williams (12.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 8.3 apg in 31.7 minutes)
SF Shane Battier (9.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 30.6 minutes)
Memphis receives: SF Eddie Robinson (5.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.0 apg in 64 games)
PG Jamal Crawford (10.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.2 apg in 80 games)
    C Kelvin Cato (4.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.3 apg in 73 games)
Change in team outlook: -11.9 ppg, +1.2 rpg, and -5.9 apg.

Houston trades: C Kelvin Cato (4.5 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.3 apg in 17.1 minutes)
SG Cuttino Mobley (17.5 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.9 apg in 41.7 minutes)
SF Bostjan Nachbar (2.1 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 0.2 apg in 5.5 minutes)
Houston receives: SF Donyell Marshall (13.4 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 78 games)
SG Wesley Person (11.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.7 apg in 66 games)
SF Shane Battier (9.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.4 apg in 78 games)
Change in team outlook: +10.0 ppg, +5.4 rpg, and +1.5 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

This gives us very productive players whos strenghts really
    complement Ming and Francis.

We can use Rice to get a backup center like Ostertag.

    Well let me have it.:D

This would be good for the Rockets...but not too good for the Grizzlies. Why would they want to give up Jason Williams?

Yeah! He had a stretch where he had like 15+ assists per game! Crazy! I guess Hubie got him to produce...he's still not perfect...but he is certainly dishing out a lot!

Wow. The NBA has gone from "who would sign Jason Williams to that contract" to "why would Memphis want to give him up?"

Props to J-Will on a BRILLIANT season and proving TONS of people wrong by becoming an amazing PG. Check out his asst:TO ratio, and his assist numbers. Over the second half of the season, I believe he averaged almost 10 assits a game.

I don't understand the reasoning behind all these Griffin for Swift trades? Is there anything gained there? I am not inclined to give up Griffin unless I can find a significant improvement over him. Swift is not that. Swift is about as good a defensive player as Griffin is, yet Swift has a worse offensive game overall.

    Shoot, Shoot. GO AWAY.

Possum, are you sure you're not a Memphis fan because those trades are terrible from a Rockets perspective. That entire team is garbage; probably the least talented team in the entire league.

I couldn't agree more. Add to the fact that Griffin is 3 years younger and two inches taller, and I really don't see why people want Swift over Griffin.

Some people want to make trades for the sake of making trades. If we had Swift and Memphis had Eddie Griffin they would still be coming up with scenarios to trade for each other.

I would actually trade Griffin for Swift.

OVERALL, they're equal. The difference is, Swift brings more of what we need than Griffin does. We have a sweet shooting PF in Mo, maybe it's better to get a tougher and more in-the-paint oriented PF in Swift?

Ofcourse, if Griffin puts on more muscle, and gets transformed into more of an inside player by JVG and Ewing, then Griffin will be a clearly better player.

I would rather have Griffin than Swift.

But I wish we could get Battier or Person! Glen Rice and Bostjan Nachbar and Eric Piatkowski are decent and can shoot. But Rice is very injury prone and cannot handle a lot of minutes. Boki doesn't look too promising. And Eric Piatkowski is really a shooting guard...but he and Mobley can just be our wing players...with Griffin and Yao inside. I am still optimistic!

But I really wish the Grant for Taylor/Cato trade happened...HMM..What happened to leebigez?!?

I think Swift is more athletic and better low post player than EG. Swift's biggest problem is probably his attitude. I haven't seen Swift play as much as EG, but the times I've seen him I was impressed. I think he just needs consistent playing time. EG on the other hand never seems to get it done. EG is still young, but if I had the chance I'd take a risk on Swift.

I think Swift is only an inch shorter and is a better defensive player/shot blocker.

What real GM says son't mean ****! If you had any BBALL knowlege you wouldn't be asking me such a stupid ?. Most people here think Cat is under paid and Cato is all the sudden so valuable that any time you post a trade involving them you are crazy. This trade gives all three teams what they are looking for. Chicago is looking for a SG. Memphis is looking for some size inside and we are looking for a starting SF that can consistantly contribute without being a focal point of the offense, Everybody wins IMO. If you can think of a better trade then post it. If not kiss my a$$ dillhole. I'm sick of people who criticize trade scenarios but can't come up with anything better. If you don't think my trade is a good one tell me why instead of being an a$$ and I'll discuss it with you. Just jumping in a thread and saying someone is stupid is stupid.

What's the point of me coming up with a trade scenario? It's not my job. I don't see a point in doing it. Sitting here and spouting off trade scenario after trade scenario seems pretty pointless to me, because anything I could suggest is very unlikely to happen. However, I should realize that this is all good fun for a lot of people, and that you have pointed out a team who has actually stated that they are looking for a big man, so I apologize for my comments. I reacted both hastily and prematurely, without thoroughly thinking through your post.
