If its not in the very end of the game, Rafer boy's steal from Kobe will be a clear foul, period. It is definately not a smart play. Rafer's possession in the last 24 second is ever worse, why the hell he had to pass that ball? Ass dumb players. God start SF3 please!!!!

I thought Rafer was alright... he hit his FTs when it counted and played ok except the last few minutes. I'd rather have him over Stevie and his poor attitude.

Rafer only took 1 teardrop and everybody acts like he took 10

I know he made a couple of mistakes but other than that he had a decent game

and nice play by Rafer at the end to swap the ball away from Kobe...it was clearly all ball and Kobe flopped his arms

I didn't watch the game so I don't know how many teardrops he took, but going 2 for 11 is TERRIBLE. Especially since that's the 3rd most shots of any Rocket in the game behind Yao and T-Mac. He either needs to learn how to make his shot (not likely considering his career stats) or take fewer shots.

I was impressed with his rebounding though, 7 DRB, 0 ORB. His Assists and TOs were to be expected and solid for any PG. But, if he doesn't curb his shooting or learn to make his shot, I would start MJ and use AB/SF as backup.

Can we try that 7up fusion stunt, smashing Rafer and James into one player.

these rafer haters find every little thing to hate on him and let everyone else slide.

if it was james that had the turnover and rafer who missed 2 fts, they'd be all over rafer for that.

bottom line is rafer isn't terrible and he's as good as you have on the team. Mike James who you all want to go crazy about was only effective on the floor while rafer was playing with him at the point.

of course you can forget tmac and yao had bad turnover at the end, and since they're your superstars you should probably be harder on them. James isnt shooting this well every night, so the next night he got 5-17 and takes shots away from yao and tmac, i'll probably have to point that out again as i come on and read about a rafer turnover that has everyone up in arms.

    To the original poster:

Does calling him Reefer, and naming your post after a horrible propagander video make you clever?

i think you gotta learn how to read a box score, rafer took 6 shots and went 1-6
now when the box score says "FG 1-6" "3pt 1-5"

that means he took 6 shots, hit one of them........of those 6 shots, 5 were threes and he made 1.

it doesnt mean add it up and you get his total attempts ;)

rafer alston should continue to start. james is a great spark off the bench, but he really has no court vision. james dribbles about 5 seconds too long every time he touches the ball. and james really choked on those free throws.

Now that's the problem, He didn't attempt 11 shots....he only took 6. I'm pretty sure Bonzi,Shane, and Mike James had more attempts than Rafer but he still gets hated

One thing for sure is that Adleman would NOT be satisfied with the PG situation either. We could see either more experiment with current personnel or more trade towards a better PG.

I don't think Rafer is as bad as the worst PG in the NBA,nor is he the PG for a championship team.

    Rafer+Landry for Jack+Frye
Rockets get Yao his future backup and dump salary.
Portland improve their point guard position.

you gayfer supporters crack me up gayfer is complete trash I rather have a bone head francis that can actually attack the basket and make the other point guard the gayfer getting punked by DEREK FISHER. Also I can't wait to see him get trashed by Deron Williams and relive the Utah series all over again.
