I'll go ahead and say it: Spoiler SUPERBOWL Seriously. This team is special and after welcoming back the players at reliant last night you could feel it in the players. This is our year.
We gonna go to the Superbowl baby! AJ will finally utter these words: I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD BABY!
Ran the ESPN playoff machine and we got 2nd seed based on my predictions. (1) NE (2) Hou (3) Pitt (4) Den (5) Balt (6) NYJ I think Baltimore ends up losing to either San Diego this week (coming alive and still in the race) or Cincinatti and we win out to get the 2nd seed. Then we beat Pittsburgh at home to HOST the conference championship against Wild Card Baltimore. I can't take us over Baltimore at this point though. But I'm not going to lie...I think we have the makings of a super bowl contender. Looks like we'll go strong into the playoffs on a hot streak and our defenses just looks like a super bowl defense.
I voted with my head, and said that we get to the AFC Championship game and lose.....but..... for some reason, in my heart, I just can't shake this feeling.... Spoiler
this is how i would love it to play out. first round bye. Destroy the Titans in the 2nd round. Pummel the Steelers in the AFC championship. Rape the Cowboys for the Super Bowl Championship. All the demons exorcised in one playoff run.
We win-out while Baltimore loses to either San Diego or Cincinnati giving us the first round bye. We wipe the floor with the 3rd seed, while our defense then rapes Tom Brady in the AFC championship game.
I know, my head says no way,...what a joke even thinking that a month ago but something special is happening
OK, its Superbowl 46. 4+6=10. It took the Texans 10 years to make the playoffs, I think I may be on to something here, lol.
I mean, realism is already shot to hell. Realism says, with a very abbreviated preseason to learn the 4-3, a bunch of rookies on D, Foster missing 2 games, Johnson missing 70 or so games, Schaub out for the season, backup checking down for the season with a broken collarbone, and a rookie 5th-rounder with an equally abbreviated preseason to learn anything at all... yeah, realism says we should be like 6-10 again. So since we're already unreal, go ahead and take it freaking all.
Can someone explain the tiebreaking for me? What needs to happen for us to be #1 seed? This is assuming us, the Ravens, the Pats and the Steelers all win out.
Ravens hold the tiebreaker over us. We hold the tiebreaker over the Steelers due to head to head. So if the Ravens win out they are definitely seeded above us. As far as the Pats, I'm pretty sure they have the tiebreaker over us due to strength of victory (win % of teams beaten). We would have the same conference record and same record against common opponents, so it would come down to that.
