I definitely plan on beating this on veteran. Usually when there is a level you can't seem to beat for a long period of time on COD (veteran difficulty), you are doing something wrong that you don't realize.
I'm not easily offended. The game actually asks you before you start campaign if you want to skip offensive scenes. I chose no and do not ask me again. I don't want to see the video I just wanted to know what it was in case I didn't recognize it and it looks like VooDooPope gave me a heads up. If that's what it really is then it is a definitely a ballsy call to put that in there.
I have only been able to play a few missions so far, but I have to say, this game has not disappointed. I absolutely loved CoD4 SP campaign, and felt it was one of the best single player games I had played in years (maybe ever) even though it was relatively short. MW2 seems to be meeting my expectations of making me feel the same way again. I like gaming online and all, but I got this game purposely for the SP. It's that good to me. Less annoying people this way anyway, heh.

I agree with that. When I get my arse handed to me its usually because I don't know the best route to take or the timing of it. I beat it on Hardend last night, took about eight hours. I died a good amount. Good stuff. The river level took some patience. Started multiplayer afterwards and have the day off today so I'll be on. PSN ID: Wakko67. Spoiler I'm a little disappointed that there was no AC130 level. Maybe its in the extra ones.
Yeah, thats true...but I also looked up some walkthroughs on youtube...I just dont have the quickness and aiming ability to literally pick off a dozen people in 10 seconds. To beat it on veteran, you need a solid combination of skill and patience. Im slightly lacking in both of those areas. I beat most of the game on Veteran, but those levels that I couldnt, I really see no way of being able to do so. Its just such a step up from the other difficulty levels in the game. I like that though...it would suck if the hardest level was attainable by the majority of the people. Loved the game...the levels are awesome...and the ending was pretty cool. Going to move on to special ops and multiplayer...and then maybe dive back in and try to finish the remaining levels on Veteran, some day down the road when my skill improves.
Has anyone had any trouble connecting to the online games? I could not connect to the server this morning. I cannot seem to connect to any of my friends when they send me invites. On PS3
6 hours is about right for normal. I played normal for about an hour, switched to playing with a friend for a couple of hours, and then finished off the campaign in about another 5.
SP campaign seems shorter than COD4....I wish it was longer \ I dont even remember killing that Makarov guy.
