I think a nuke in Domination is impressive. Our clan plays Domination almost exclusively and I have been close twice and yes I do my jobs in capturing and/or guarding flags but still have come up 1-2 kills short, actually all of my nukes have come on Team Deathmatch. I think it is unimpressive in any game if you're in a spot or two just getting kills that way but if your doing the job, especially on objective based games, a nuke is an impressive feat. I may be the only one in my clan with nuke setup too as others have abandoned it for simpler kill streak rewards. BTW, I'm seeing a lot of people on here play on Domination. Any of you guys on 360?
<br> DudeWah hit me up. I'll play whatever. As long as I can connect to you. I think I have rezdawg as a friend. Us 3 should make a party and duke it out with people clutchfans style.
Yes, as long as you are actually playing the objective it is impressive. You play in clans so I assume you play to win. That is not how most people who play domination play. They pick domination because they can camp and kill people who go for flags. They have no problem losing the game. This is why I quit playing domination unless I was with friends. I'd be in games where my entire team would stay in camping spots getting kills and I'd be the only one making any attempt to get the flags. When you play that way, a nuke is not impressive at all.
Yeah, our clan is strictly about wins although there are a few of us who like to keep our K/D ratios above 1, such as me. We hear it all the time too in the post game lobby about how we suck because most of our members went negative yet we still get a convincing win, last week we won two matches 200-0. I am actually currently on a 126 game winning streak so I am very selective about who I play with at the moment in the clan or otherwise.
I wish they made a hardcore domination. I really enjoy domination, but I can't stand not playing in hardcore. They should get rid of hardcore hq and add domination
126 is pretty impressive to be honest. I got a buddy right now that's at 96. He's very selective on where he plays. I'm getting set up on 360 now. I normally play PS3 but I just bought an xbox a month ago.
I've gotten better over the past couple of weeks, but still can't get above a kill streak of 4 or 5 and am often on the negative side of the k/d ration, although much better.
I haven't heard too much whining about nukes unless they weren't legit. I'm all about the objective. Most objective games involve a bit of guarding an area/objective. Getting nukes on these game modes aren't that easy since people know where to look for people most of the time. I've gotten a good amount of nukes by now, and most of them I earn by pushing forward and really just outsmarting my opponent. Once the harrier comes out and they don't shoot it down, chances of a nuke are pretty high. I'll go some place safe while using the chopper gunner, after it's done, I get right back into the fight. We user our killstreaks to hold/take/support objectives. Only once (actually yesterday) we ran into a group of guys who just had our number, and we were getting beat pretty handily on domination. One of our players was close to a nuke. We knew it was the only way we could still win the game, so that's when we changed our strategy.
I finally had enough of playing mw2 about 3-4 days ago. I use to play this game everyday for a couple of hours. I am probably an average to below average player. I have a kill death ratio around 1.10 would have it higher but let my roommates on my account. But as of late I keep getting my butt whooped. Times I felt I definitely should have killed people put in more bullets in enemies but they still manage to kill me or get away. Once they get away they usually run into my teammates and I manage to only get an assist. Which is not bad but still pretty annoying. Or when I get a guy in last stand I have to reload than a teammate comes or spawns next to me and kills him. Maybe people are getting better at the game, I lose patience and try to be Rambo. I don't know but I am probably done playing for awhile. I still love COD it is my favorite game but it is also a game that drives me crazy at the same time.
Some days are like that though. This happened to me over the weekend. Ran into a clan that just seem to beat the living crap out of us. I wouldn't say I'm elite but I'm above average player and these guys just ran the table. We got really close on certain matches but just too much fire power. Towards the end we finally were able to beat them for two games in a row but they left right afterwards. I thought that was pretty sorry but whatever. I have to admit... I wasn't a big sentry gun fan but this one guy on our team had that and it seemed to put them on their heels. Without that gun we would of been dead. This guy was able to put four of them down on the Terminal Map where you can go up on the escalators. I think that's what really pissed those guys off to leave after the map was done.
Well, to answer the questions about how I played domination...Right off the bat, we had captured 2 flags. At that point, we basically had the other team spawn trapped, which gave us the opportunity to set up outside their spawn and not allow them to break through to the other flags. I really didnt even realize I could get the nuke until my harrier strike got a triple kill on its initial strike. At that point, I was 1 kill away from the chopper gunner. By the time it got to that stage of the game, I think we were up like 130-60 or something along those lines. After I used my chopper gunner, I realized that my team had taken all 3 flags (which I absolutely hate in domination...thats the last thing you need to do when you have a lead and 2 flags). So, the other team started spawning everywhere. We had a huge lead at that point and I was at 19 kills...so I went back to defend one of the flags and started looking for the kills to get the nuke. Yeah, that last couple minutes of the game, I wasnt going for the objective (we already had 3 flags capped, not much you can do other than defend)...but I got to 19 kills by pushing the other team back into their spawn. Although, I will say that its not a terrible idea on a domination game to have 1 team member going for kill streaks. Air support can really help in terms of keeping teams off of flags. You'll see a lot of the youtube all-stars play that role in domination. Lil Pun, I'll play with you when your streak ends, lol...all 360 users add me: Rezdawg09. Im friends with Hamza on there, we should get a little team going. I think my highest win streak is around 10 or 11 or something, I almost always play with randoms. I'd love to increase that streak though. k/d: 1.35, in case that's important to people that want to add others.
Keep an eye on your connection if you dont already do that...if you have a 2 bar connection in a game, you should just exit immediately, as you will almost never win any head to head battles. Or, if the other team has mostly 4 bars while you are at 3, then the odds are stacked against you there as well.
Usually when i go against clans like that, its good to get to their position before they get into their camp mode. Also, I avoid running with my teammates since they bring a lot of attention to me. A knife and smoke grenades are all you really need.
rezdawg, you part of a clan? You sound exactly like somebody our clan members would like to play with, get two flags and control them. What's your ID?
I try to stay away from my teammates especially if they're not a friend of mine. If I'm getting my butt handed to me, I'll switch to the P90 with the silencer, marthon pro, light weight pro, and ninja pro and try to rush them that way. I can normally do some very good damage with that but not always. Smoke Grenades are very important especially when you're dealing with snipers...
Nah, no clan, very few of my friends play video games and the ones that do, suck ass, so I mostly play on my own against randoms. ID is Rezdawg09.
It helps to turn around once in while and just randomly knife. It amazes me how many times I've killed people doing that.
What sucks about using the regular knife is it takes years to be able to knife again or fire your weapon.
