What does everyone think of the multiplayer maps? I think Rust is a joke. I think that level was for all the people who complained about "campers." It's a big FU to them. There you go, a level where you can't even find a spot to reload, much less camp. Half the time, I spwan right next to them. The other half, I turn the corner and there is someone right there.
I played spec ops for about 2 hours yesterday with a friend, we beat 5-6 on veteran. Some are a hell of a lot easier than others.
my xbox is finally working again, so I need to buy the game now. anyone know of any good deals for it?
I enjoyed the maps on the first mw a lot more. There really is no map on MW2 that I can say if my favorite.
It's like shipment on roids. I rarely spawn in front or behind someone on shipment, happens all the time on rust. In rust I even spawned in front of two people once, and I had to choose which one to shoot. The other one killed me.
A lot of the pc users are mad because they made the game equal to the console version. In Modern Warfare 1, the pc users could have up to 32 players in a match I think (vs only 18 in part 2), and there are no dedicated servers for PC multiplayer in part 2. There is some other stuff pc users are mad about, because there are modifications they can no longer do. Some console gamers don't like some of the changes in maps and guns, but I think it's mostly the pc users.
Damn right. I beat all of the first two special ops waves of levels and a couple of the third with a friend on veteran but there is a stage where you try to get a computer in a airplane wasteland and fight super scoped snipers and juggernauts and cannot beat that stage for nothing. I get to a part where you have a juggernaut come from behind you and have snipers in front of you. I end up dead in various ways and have played that stage for two hours with nothing to show for it. It ended up with me tossing my controller and along with my friend looking like this....... Spoiler (it's not fair. it's just not fair.) Then me Has anybody beat the stage and if so was it luck or did you actually have a strategy?
Pretty much this. Although I should point out it that it may have been the reasoning and behavior of Activision/Infinty Ward that irritated PC gamers more so than the actions themselves (although those hurt too). Sounds like pirates/cheaters are close to playing multiplayer just fine on the PC, which pretty much makes IW look silly for some of their comments about dedicated servers not being necessary. Plus, this kind of stuff is never really appreciated: Oh wait, even better (just saw this): <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-rqLUDfl26Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-rqLUDfl26Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
I think you guys will realize that reducing the amount of player on a map is a big improvement. 32 people in a game sounds absolutely horrible to me. I loved Modern Warfare because it was 6 v 6. Not many games do that and it was great.
Anyone else having trouble connecting to a game right now? Been trying for like 20 minutes it keeps looking for games to connect but says 0/50 good games. Then once I joined some of my friends games in progress it would just lag like crazy.
Ive been playing consistently through the night without a prob (xbox). In regards to the 32 players in a match...who the heck would want that? Hell, 6 v. 6 is enough chaos on these levels. I cant imagine throwing in 20 more people, that would totally suck.
Read the description of the video on Youtube. Probably does a better job of explaining what is going on.
its for people who bought the pc version aka the version they didn't really want to make. don't worry console games are usually less prone to hacking as opposed to PCs.
