According to Bowling, "Xbox Live servers are maintained and ran by Microsoft. PSN servers are ran and maintained by 3rd party companies hired to do so." Seems this mysterious "3rd party" infrastructure simply cannot match the Microsoft-funded backbone of Xbox Live.

not working for me either...so I just been playing campaign ...man this game is awesome...only thing I dislike..is online you play with folks ranked soo much ahead of you...it seems they have a slight advantage of weapons and so on and so on..
PS3 online = free!! and it really doesnt have too many issues.. Xbox also has its issues like when Halo launched.. Plus Xbox u have way more hardware failures which is even worse.. end up paying more for less.. plus xbox just pissed off all their fanboys with the 1 million users being banned for modding their xbox..
Eh i havent really felt that.. I've been pretty successful online once i got the m4. But yeah I know what you mean. I think COD 4 was like that anyways though.
I can definitely agree with that. I think my point was that I haven't been hooked with any of the multiplayer offerings by games that I've bought lately...not like I was with Halo 2...I played a lot of Halo 3 online but nowhere near to the extent of it's predecessor; it just pissed me off too much. But again I'll definitely give MW2 a try online.
Spoiler Me neither. WTH? I was looking forward to it. The story was a bit out there, but it was good other than that. As for online, yeah its still down. Garbage. My day off was wasted! Curse the day.
I just got done putting in my first hour of online play...freaking awesome. I suck, but itll get better with time once I can get the weapons I want to play with. My poor Forza 3 and FIFA...gonna be sitting on the sidelines for quite some time.
Regarding Makarov... Spoiler I dont think we kill Makarov in the game...Im guessing thats what we'll be doing in Modern Warfare 3...November 8, 2011. Mark the date on your calendars.
Have you guys played spec ops? I don't own the game yet, but my friend brought his over and we played a lot of Spec Ops and it was great
Not yet...a friend wants to finish the campaign mode before diving into spec ops, so Im just waiting on that...looking forward to it. I really dont even know what it entails. Sucks that the PS3 peeps couldnt get online today...specially those that didnt have work. Hopefully you'll be smokin fools this weekend.
