It is much better than Ghosts. I can't rank it yet though in terms of where it fits in the CoD universe. I need to play it more. It is definitely an improvement over Ghosts though. The exo suit thing takes some getting used to. Enemies pop up from strange angles now like unexpectedly above you. It is a challenge, but this series was due for one. It had gotten much too easy for veteran players. It finally gives you something to work on improving at. You have to not only master using the suit, but also taking out people that are using it as well. It is certainly a new dimension. One good thing though is if the exo suit just isn't your thing, you can opt out and play the classic playlists where it is traditional gameplay without the suit. I played about 3 or 4 of those matches after a frustrating match, but I surprisingly found myself missing that new element of challenge so I went back.
Soooo you're saying it adds verticality (like every other fps that has come out within the past year), innovation like a mother****er! [See: Titanfall, Destiny (Crucible), etc]
If by people you mean "seclusion", yeah...I have a problem with them putting out the same crap with 1 thing changed and calling it new. The only reason I put up with it for NBA2K is because I bleed Rockets red. Them adding the ability to jump around is just them copying other games and calling it innovation...which is what I just said. I watched several streams of people playing, it's the same tired ass bull**** with a different wrapper. Take it however you wish.
Where you at on NBA2k15? Sadly, I'm the only person out of everyone playing the game. I thought this was a basketball forum full of hardcore basketball freaks like me
Too many games out right now! (hasn't been a problem until this past month really) I'll be getting it, but I just bought Sunset Overdrive. I'm picking up Master Chief Collection, and GTA5 over the next couple weeks. Hard to justify picking up 2K right now, I'll definitely get it before (or on) Christmas. Plus all the online issues I keep hearing about are making me that much more weary.
I like Titanfall, but Destiny is boring to me. Call of Duty has its share of flaws, but there is a reason it is a popular game. Fast paced gameplay, responsive movement, score streaks, etc. It may not be your thing, but I still enjoy the game and their formula. They may have copied a few things from other games out there, but it still offers a gameplay that is unique in the FPS market. I enjoy CoD, Battlefield, and Titanfall because they all offer something unique. I really wanted to like Destiny too, but it falls short as an FPS and I do not enjoy spendng hours grinding for loot and shooting AI over and over.
Soooo what is this unique gameplay you speak of? I'm intrigued. (The reason it's popular is there's a lot of people who couldn't tell that it began to suck immensely after Modern Warfare 2, that and the power of advertising money)
I play 2k15 daily. I picked up Advanced Warfare at lunch. Going to try it out with my friend on split screen SharePlay later tonight. Hopefully it works as well as 2K15 did with the feature.
That's just your opinion. I know a lot of people that think Black Ops and Black Ops 2 were great games. I've been playing since CoD4 then World at War and up until today. I've bought every game. I still find it fun just like you think Destiny is fun. You say what is unique about CoD? Nothing else plays like CoD. Whether or not that formula is for you is a different issue.
Whether it's "for me"? I was probably playing CoD before you heard of it. (For your reference I've owned Cod/Cod2, MW/MW2/MW3, Bops/Bops2, and Ghosts.) BOps while it had an interesting campaign, was still the same damn game as the others before it. You're still shooting random people...the guns act the same...the graphics looked the same...the maps looked the same. The only difference was that you could a) fly a helicopter b) kill zombies. As for nothing playing like CoD; damn near everything plays like CoD right now, even Halo added the ability to sprint because of CoD. Anyway, I'm not trying to keep anyone from buying CoD. To each his own, I'm just not fooled anymore personally.
Finally. A COD multiplayer I am happy with. It feels reminiscent of the first Modern Warfare multiplayer for me. You can actually see people across the map. I played around 8-9 games last night and was very impressed even though the usual being slaughtered as I don't know the maps happened - I didn't get turned off like I usually do. For people sitting on the fence because of previous COD games. Buy it. At least rent it and give it a go. Very pleased.
Just saying that it's obvious that some people still enjoy the game even though you no longer do. Blacks Ops 2 was probably my favorite in the series. Ghosts has been my least favorite. This one seems like a good one so far. I thought Titanfall came closest to CoD in pace. Nothing else. I play just about every FPS I can get my hands on hoping to find other games to play. Only a select handful kept me coming back. CoD is one of them. I only play multiplayer.
Lots of people still play it too and post YouTube videos. We obviously have different preferences in games...you think Destiny is a great game. I'm glad you like it, but I hope to never waste another minute of my life playing it again lol.
