I always felt that Asik was by far the better acquisition

Lin will gain many money for rockets and Les might be willing to pay for Luxury tax if there is any good free agents

I've seen enough a PG who struggles going left is laughable especially non athletic PGs. Picks up his dribble way to much not keeping the play/dribble alive. Machado will impress us more than Lin will. Les needed a face for this team so I understand the business move. 3 years is about how long it will take for us to be relevant again so i'm content just calling it how I see it.

I see a PG who is average at going left and great at going right.

Tried to rep this but it wouldn't let me:(. Apparently I have to "spread some reputation around" before giving it to you again.

This "can't go left" talking point is hugely overblown by the media. Lin is better going to his right, but his left obviously can't be that bad: he averaged 18 and 8 despite teams forcing him to his left as early as the Utah game.

I've noticed Lin dribbling with his left during these preseason games, even when he doesn't need to, so it's definitely something he's been working on.

I think it's to early in the season to tell... Let the team develop some more and gain chemistry with each other than we'll see what happens later on down the road!

If any media anywhere is talking about a Point Guard not being able to go left, then it is a problem. If you are a point guard, there should be no deficiencies in your ball handling at all. Its like a cornerback, if you are hearing their name alot its usually not a good thing.

If your a Point Guard in the NBA you should be using both hands equally. using your off hand when u dont have to is a part of the position. you need to be a dangerous player anywhere on the court, with the ball in either hand. If you dont think Lin is bad, at least well below average for a PG, at going left, you dont know bball.

all of those other PGs have good track records. Lin's record is what 20 starts or something, for that contract. he will be under a microscope all year.

If you're going to sit here and pretend there haven't been other NBA point guards that preferred to go to their dominant hand and did it most of the time... case in point: Kenny Anderson then sorry I don't think you know basketball.
