SORRY TOZAI if I question these unproven players. IF I said to you we can have AI, you'd say he's never going to win nothing so screw that!I say maybe the guys we have will be the same way.So if we could trade Cat,and Cato for two better players to make the team better would you not do it for the team? Maybe then Francis would have someone to pass too.I don't seem to remember alot of games that Steve passed to Cat and we won. Shooting percentages?Oh ok didn't Cato lead the league in FG% at one point?Oh ok then trade MING! I pray Francis will be healthy, but if he is not and we give him alot of money and he does not dedicate himself to winning as much...which could mean agreeing to trades and things to better the team,then I will be pissed.He already made a selfish decision to boycott the GRIZZ, so why do you think it is not possible for Steve to make a selfish decision that could affect us? I may not sound like the rockets rule? I am throwing out ideas out there that I think could help the team. I am trying to alleviate the worries I have with the players we have deemed fit to carry this franchise. I may come down hard on reality, but reality is what it is, and sometimes its ugly, it doesn't bother me if you disagree. I love the rockets,the team, with or without whoever.
Well for one thing Cato does not shoot 17-18 times a game Spree does... Interesting thought but weren't you willing to give Dream a pass on his temper and Spree a pass on chocking his coach. Yet you will not forgive Steve for his misgivings. Let me reinterate that I respect your opinion but it is just that....your opinion. It is NOT reality. Reality is based on facts. The fact is that Cat is a very good SG. The fact is that Steve averaged more points, assists, & rebounds than any other single player. Facts are facts Opinions are Opinions Reality is reality Just don't get them mixed up.

" This was just dumb though. Steve desperately wants to win. You're not going to find many SG's better than Cuttino for his price. I know I'm not going to change your mind, so I'm not even going to try to understand some of your reasoning. I love the Rockets and am going to root for them instead of whining about them and then claiming to be a fan.
Dang T, do you think that just because somebody addresses certain negative truthes about a team they aren't a fan? i know that we don't agree most of the time but to challenge someones ALLEGIANCE to this team on this site is a little excessive, IMHO.
Will you whine when we suck again because steve is out with headaches? Will you whine if Cat has his worse year ever? Will you whine if Steve complains all the time if Ming kicks butt and steve and cat don't want to share the rock with him? Will you whine if steve and cat act like a bunch of primadonnas and cost rudy his job? Facts Steve can be selfish---Grizzlie situation Cat is not better than spree.....say what you will about his FG%, but will he stop Spree from driving past him or shooting over him with 2 seconds left in the game?Atleast Spree can score andplay defense.Would Spree tell the opposing team he was going to get the ball?Would Spree change his opinion on a potential draft pick just because his friend doesn't like him even though he would help the team?I would be willing to bet if Spree was a rocket the whole time and Cat was on the knicks you would want to keep Spree. Cat is cheap...so are you paying the money for these contracts? If I pay the money to go to these games and buy Les an arena then I want him to spend as much money as possible on the best players.We will probably have to let Cat go anyway if he comes up for a new contract in the future...and I personally don't want to give Cat alot of money in the future so we might as well get someone we think could light a fire under this team right now! I'm willing to forgive these guys just as much as Dream, but I am afraid we will lose these guys or have to get rid of them before they ever mature because I see no evidence either one of them are maturing as basketball players or people. If Steve's averages sink this year and his decision making has not matured and the team is suffering after getting a new contract then I and evryone of you will be worried if not pissed.I don't base alot of things on stats,i've heard way too many players say things to the effect "Well I got my twenty"...well you may have but we didn't win! Facts Cat shoots 17-18 times a game and we still lose Dream acknowledged his misgivings Reality is Cat and Steve played alot of games together and we still lost....that's why I'm scared of the future!!!
Win, lose or draw... I never whine. Other than the Grizz situation, what evidence do you have to base this on beside your conjecture? Cat never said anything bad about Ming except that he was unproven and that we needed size. Odom is his buddy so I don't have great fear in my heart about what Cat said. Spree may have the advantage right now but Spree will not get better and Cat will continue to get better. The facts show that Cat has gotten better every year in the league and Cat is much younger than Spree. I have a problem with spending other peoples money. Les has done a great job with this team and spends more than the cap on payroll every year. Just over-spending for good players can get you into trouble and does not guarantee success.....SEE PORTLAND. It took Dream about 5-7 year before he really started maturing and putting it together. This will be Cat's 5th year and Steve's 4th. I have no problem giving them more time to continue to grow as players and men. When has Steve or Cat EVER said that " I got my twenty". Just because other young players in the league have that attitude does mean they do? Well when Steve and Cat both played this last year we were 18-17. That is just above 500 ball. I think a losing record is below 500 last time I checked. Spree shot 17-18 shots and the Knicks lost as well. Dream may have acknowledged his misgivings but he still bad mouthed his Coach ( Wilkins) and complained about being used improperly...and still won't retire. Don't fight the future!!!! The Future is bright and the Rockets Red Glare will shine again!!!! The glass is half full and getting fuller everyday...
