I guess, to your point, nobody should take anything I write seriously and I would always encourage anyone to do their own research or fact findings. I suppose this thread served two purposes. Now that the standard of evidence has been established, it'll be interesting to see if that bar is upheld.

I’ve just been skimming through this thread and I very much agree this is a real problem. Confirmation bias goes along with things like emotional intelligence as it provides quick ways of of filtering information. That’s a good way of identifying friend from foe and maintaining tribal loyalty but with so much information now coming so quickly it’s hard to keep track I know I’ve been guilty of scrolling through a news site or a social media feed and find myself automatically drawn to headlines that fit my own biases. A lot of times these are misleading, slanted or in some cases outrightly wrong.
