    Hi Guys,

I want to get one of these for my family this year. Where in southwest Houston can I find a good one? How much should I expect to pay for it.

    Thanks in advance.

Buy the stuff and do it yourself. It's super easy and super good.

I normally would but this year everything has to be quick and easy.

Any suggestions? I saw Logan Farms has one.

Your best bet is to go to Popeye's. They make them for the holidays. and the one I had last year was the best I have had, and I have had them from several different places.

Figure in the $30 to $40 range or so, depending on size, if my vague memory serves.. I remember though that it was REALLY good.

    word.

it's easy, fun, and freaking delicious.... i suggest you watch the good eats episode regarding this, but ignore the elaborate turkey-dropping device.

It's better when you do it yourself because you get it fresh and hot. You say everything has to be quick but it does not take a turkey that long to fry, it is not like baking, roasting, or smoking one.

Well the reason you do not want to do it in the house is because there is a good chance you will burn it down. If I remember correctly, incidents like this are very common around the holidays. Plus the grease bubbles over in very big splatters so even if you're lucky enough to not burn your house down you will have one hell of a mess to clean up.

We do ours outside on a patch of pavement at my girlfriend's parent's house. If you want to actually get a fryer take it ouside to a paved area and set it up and go at it. They usually come with instructions on how to deep fry a turkey.

yea..i know..i saw a youtube video on how this one guy fried his turkey..the thing was splattering like crazy..dont wanna risk burning 90% of my body either so it looks like i may have to go get it at popeyes if i need to get one.

    Logan Farms? Popeye´s?

Hebert´s or Pete´s Fine Meats is the way to go, my friend.

I guess I need to contact popeyes if multiple people say they rock. Which locations do you get it from?

So I just called popeyes by my house. I think the lady had an orgasm while she was telling me how good they were. Interesting they are not served hot. You take them and cook them yourselves. I assumed you pickedd it up and it they it cooked that morning. Well that makes things easy on me.
