Rockets end up 1 or 2 just about every time I run it. Send me to the lottery!

Ah, but there's a silver lining to this cloudy, overcast season, right? Finishing out of the playoffs with one of the worst records should give the Rockets a top draft pick, maybe even the No. 1 overall selection, right?

Not so fast, Mr. TV Weatherman. Even if the Rockets end up dead last, they stand only a 25 percent chance of landing the first pick. Since the start of the NBA's draft lottery system in 1985, the team with the worst record got the first pick only six times.

All you did was confuse Mr. TV Weatherman. Lol. The worst team has a 14% chance of landing the 1st pick, as do the 2nd and 3rd worst records : http://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds

Whoever is running this program is in love with Rockets drafting Josh Giddey.

    No thanks.

Rockets defense is shyte enough already.

That pile-up around picks 12-22 is starting to get interesting -- especially with Portland deciding to really suck these last few games.

    Portland pick up to 19.

Thank you RUHFELL for trading Robert Scrubington!

Morey traded Capela AND a first for this guy.

More likely scenario is the Warriors win then number 1 pick and trade it along with Wiseman and Oubre etc for Giannis. Then I'm done with the NBA.

I don't know about "more likely" since they only have about a 1% chance of getting the #1 pick at the moment, but ... yeah... I guess it could happen.

    Yeah, it's lottery-protected (top-14), I think.

Would that real skinny dude from Bucks be Mamadi Diakite?

I've been thinking about somehow trading for him this off-season. Being wasted with Bucks as far as I'm concerned
    with no playing time.

Maybe we can trade Exum (SnT) or Avery Bradley or D House to Bucks this off season

This could be a big deal for the Rockets as they will lose their 19th pick in this draft this year if the Blazers slid out of the playoff and into the lottery. Blazers are only 1 1/2 games out of the lottery.

Agreed on Diakite. He and Paul Reed were my G league targets this season. I was hoping the Rockets could snag one at the deadline in a Tucker deal.

I want Cade Cunningham. But I have a feeling they will get the 3rd, or 4th pick. They will likely draft Kuminga.

As long as we don’t play Kiminga at pf or center, I’m cool with that
