I think it is really difficult to judge much about the players on this team given the turmoil of this season. I suggested bringing 3 guys whose contracts are about to expire back and you identified 2 of them as being professional. I like Brown as a role player with some experience yet not so long in tooth that he woulnt be effective in a 2 or 3 seasons or wouldnt be able to get on with the incoming kiddos.

If they get the #1 overall pick, it will absolutely be Cade. I don't really want Mobley, though I realize I may end up looking really stupid on that (just add it to my bill of stupid things I've said)...my best guess, and it's just a guess, is we don't end up #1 overall but we draft Suggs. I can live with that.

I'm so torn on Mobley. The skillset is there for him to at least have a floor of an above average starting center and borderline All-Star, and his ceiling is off the charts. But historically, highly drafted big men in the last 20-25 years have been so boom or bust. For every Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid and LaMarcus Aldridge, it feels like there's two Jahlil Okafors, Hasheem Thabeets and Greg Odens.

If Houston is picking second and they have to choose between a big with a higher ceiling in Mobley or a guard with maybe a lower ceiling, but feels less likely to bust in Suggs, is it wrong that I'd almost rather go with Suggs? It just feels like if the Rockets keep their first rounder this year, they NEED to hit on it, or it's going to set the rebuild back years.

if the Rockets are picking 2nd, I hope they take Jalen Green over Mobley or Suggs

Exactly. They need talent and a whole lot of it. They should be dumping salary too. No need for 3 high priced veterans.

    My thoughts on Cade
    - Player Comp - Blend of Luka and Steve Smith( Smitty)
    - 6'8 forward who can shoot, defend, and can really pass.
-My only concern is the lack of explosiveness but his IQ and skill level is off the charts.

KPJ and Cade in the backcourt will be so fun to watch.

Same here .... Dude is just so much more explosive an athlete than the others and just as skilled ..... he probably has the most upside of any player in the current discussion.

With the same sentiment Im not going to cry a river if we "end up" with Cunningham at #1. Perfect year to suck and tank if you ask me.

Def agree. I don't like Suggs at all.

I'm cool with Cade, Green, Mobley. I may even rank Green higher than Cade, toss up there.

Saying it again. Green and Porter would be an absolute electric backcourt for years to come.

I really don’t see Mobley and hope the rockets don’t take him top 4.

A mobile, super lanky big, with nba skills, but needs to learn to shoot doesn’t scream top 4 in 2021.

Not for a top 4 pick. I don't feel he translates into a elite talent in the NBA. I feel he will be decent. (Watch me get roasted for this in a few years)

I like the upside of Cade, Mobley, Green over Suggs. I feel Mobley can also become a Bosh / Davis player or Stromile Swift. It all depends on the situation, I dont see where Suggs fits in with this team if you have Porter.

The more I see certain folks around here act like Suggs isn't that good, the more I like him. His game is going to translate to the NBA level very well and I'd be more than happy if the Rockets just happen to end up with him
