Kai Sotto? I am gonna pass on him. He's got really great vision, but he's too slow for the NBA and that whole add muscle dream usually doesn't work. He just doesn't seem to have enough fire in his muscles and he's not twitchy enough to make the leap to the NBA. He has no physicality at all and his league I don't trust. They don't play hard at all. Here's Jokic at 17... he's got twitchy muscles that you start with. He didn't develop that, he was born with it. And for that reason... I'm out on Sotto:
I agree. I certainly would be okay with Cunningham, because they both look like future stars, but Green has that T-Mac ease to his game. Kuminga and Suggs have lower ceilings, IMO, and could both end up as merely solid starters.
I like Mobley. My top 3 wishlist, in order, is: Green, Cunningham, Mobley. Then probably Kuminga and Suggs.
I just want the chance to get any of the top choices. Let the chips fall where they may, and the Rockets left holding one of them when the dust clears.
Just did a draft simulator where the Rockets picked 3rd. I took... 3. Corey Kispert (6'7", SF, 44% from 3) 22. Chris Duarte (6'6", SG, 43% from 3) 33. Kessler Edwards (6'8, F, 37% from 3) Surround KPJ with shooters. Don't make the same mistake we did with Harden.
Agreed, I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. MPJ is ready to become an all star now, and we would still have two late firsts to build depth around our core.
The Rockets get the number one only if the player they draft is a generational player If you guys are telling me one of the above players are one of those kind of talents then the Rockets will get the #1 pick
I like Ayo Dosunmu too. I don't know where he'll go in the draft, but he looks like someone who will make it in the NBA.
KPJ is better than Green. I dont know why folks keep listing him as a viable choice. Mobley is the pick (skilled 7footers dont grow on trees)
My top 3: 1. Cade/Mobley 2. Mobley/Cade 3. Green My first pick choice changes after any bad game by Cade/Mobley.
This is all that’s available on YouTube so far. I’m waiting on those draft breakdown videos that show in-depth analysis on their strengths and weaknesses.
