I really like Cade. And I do think, he can fit on a contender. But he will probably need to become even more of a passer. His drives are slow - he often still gets a shot up, but defenses will figure that out quick. Same with step backs. I don‘t think he will be the first scoring option on a contender. But I can actually see him being the guy that averages 10 assists, 7 rebounds and 20-25 points, while also playing good defense and being a team leader.

You picked all that up from one game?

    Why?

I said what I needed to say, if you think you picked all that up from one, there is not much to be said.

I think Cade deserves ROY. He is carrying the worst team in the L*(yes rox have worse record but look at the talent between both teams) including playing with Killian Hayes and his stats didnt crater like Green when he was playing with 0 spacers. If he was on a legit team like Mobley hed prob out up evn better stats and be the consensus ROY.

Meh.... the Pistons are just as bad with him as without him..... Mobley and Barnes have clearly been better than him on defense and on offense.

He is above Jalen Green because he of the difference in steals, rebounds and assists... but Green has arguably been a better shooter and more efficient scorer.

Everyone is sleeping on Scottie Barnes.... he is literally playing all 5 positions during the game.... he is a very good defender at both the point and even center. Cunningham has a NEGATIVE W/S this season and Barnes is at a + 6.

Evan Mobley is Evan Mobley.... but I think that Barnes has quietly been just as good.

I have no idea how ROY will finish out, but I think Jalen should be more in the conversation, his improvement has been monumental, he is so much more efficient, and he is not even the focus of the team.

I wonder why the National media hasn't picked up on how good he has been, even his season stats are now better than Mobley and Cade in some regards.

This is turning out to be a great rookie class.

Barnes or Mobley should win roy.

Cade, Green, Wagner should be the next 3 on the list.

This year's draft class has performed exceptionally as many other rookies have had very impressive showings.

I wouldn't be shocked if a redraft of the top 10 picks looks completely different in a few years.

disagree that the Pistons are just as bad with Cade as without him

Pistons net rating with Cade on the floor: -5

Pistons net rating with Cade off the floor: -10.3

    it’s even more pronounced post-ASB

Pistons actually have a +5.9 net rating with Cade on, and a -10.7 with him off which is by far the biggest difference on the team

The Pistons in 2020-2021 were 20-52 and they are 20-55 this season..... all of their advanced numbers are about the same.

I'm not giving rookie of the year to someone that didn't move the needle at all in wins and losses when I have the Cavs winning 20 more games than last year and I have the Raptors winning 16 more games than a year ago.

biggest thing hurting Cade’s efficiency is lack of free throw attempts

his past 45 games he’s averaging 19, 6, and 6 on 44/35/83 shooting splits…those are pretty good shooting splits for a rookie, but scoring efficiency will still be pretty bad when you’re barely getting 2 free throws a game unless he had elite shooting percentages
