While my heart would be cheering for Francis, I'd look you straight in the eye & lie my a** off for that. ------------------
Look, I'm sorry, but no, I wouldn't want Shaq on my team. Besides the fact that I hate the oversized infant, I can't help but assume the dufus would screw us over in the end if we somehow were to aquire him.(This is not to start a debate over whether Shaq is coming to H-Town, this is simply conjecture...see rest of topic) He would be happy as long as he got all of the attention and commercial deals that he feels he's deserving of, and then he would leave faster than you can say "40% from the freethrow line" if a better deal came along. (and I can say "40% from the freethrow line" pretty quickly, believe me, cuz that's what I yell when I see him in person) Were either of those whiny pricks in LA to somehow come to the Rox, I would have a hard time being vocal in my support of the team. Just my opinion, though. Personality is important to me. ------------------ "One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them; One ring to bring them all and on the court unite them. Guess I didn't think about that. I'd still like to have that baby-faced-mofo... Chemistry problems the first half-season, maybe, but I'd still kill to get him on my team. Name a more dominating C and I'll reconsider. (cannot be done - there is no more dominating player alive, save for a MJ comeback) ------------------
Love the Shaq, but I could argue that I'd rather have Duncan, even out of position at center...younger and more versatile (although developing a strangely Shaquesque free throw problem) ------------------ "Considering Mobley for His First Son's Name"
but getting back on thread, I doubt Web would go for the low bucks, regardless of potential new teammates....seriously doubt it. think of it this way: how many pro players, any sport, have CHANGED TEAMS for below market value in past 10 years. Any besides Griffey (and he had that whole hometown thing going on)? ------------------ "Considering Mobley for His First Son's Name"
