Congrats, enjoy it UH alums the win and all the glory is well deserved. UH deserves EVERY bit of credit they get. Solid win for the Coogs and with it being on the deuce, a lot of the country saw UH is for real! Great play calling by Briles and staff, and if the refs wouldnt have been SO intent in ending the first half as soon as possible, the Coogs would've added another score. Oh well ...

One thing for certain, NO WAY anyone can say UH had this one handed to them. They TOOK it by force away from Southern Miss. Great Win!

Great for civic pride here in the city as well. Like TMac#1 says in his sig, at least one football team in Houston is getting it done!

I went to those Cotton Bowls as a kiddo in the late 70's and I have to say I'm so full of pride, memories, and excitement for UH now and in the future.

From Danny Davis,Wilson Whitley, and the boys to....NOW! The train has left the station.

We have waited sooooo long.Gotta hand it to Maggard and Briles.

We should have dominated CUSA for quite awhile, but I guess that short reign is about to begin until we get into a bigger conference.

Let's have a nice showing in the Liberty Bowl and it's time to start thinking about all those beautiful recruits that will flow our way.

    ...and yearly top 20 rankings.

The win over Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl was awesome. First and only bowl game I ever attended in person.

Personally, I would rather the Coogs just stay in CUSA. I'm not eager for the school to jump ship into a conference with a bunch of schools with their noses real high in the air again. I'd rather play the Southern Miss's, Rice's, SMU's and Marshall's then have to put up with the arrogance of say A&M and UT again. I love the current layout of CUSA with it's two divisions in football.

I agree, i'd like to stay in C-USA and dominate like I know we can...

The game was great on ESPN2...I wish I had ESPN2HD :(

The fans and the atmosphere, tv angles and such were 1st rate...I'm so proud of my COOGS!!! We should be ranked after this...

Congrats to Briles and the Cougs...good to see a Houston team win on national tv.

If Kolb is available in the 3rd, I hope the Texans take him. He's got a very good arm and showed lastnight he has some wheels.

I was at the game. Cold as hell but got better when people started to stream in. Standing room only. That was great.
    Awesome win.

Would you believe that they ran out of beer (budlite) by the 2nd quarter for about 30mins. They had to call in for more beer.
I saw them bringing in cases.

What a great game & atmosphere!

    Eat 'Em Up!!
