Tex, its reality that there will be some number of troops in Iraq for a long time, I am not talking about the current level of 140 k, but a smaller number call it a "quote" peacekeeping force. Like Korea. I think it is at this point that the intelligence we receive will improve immensely because many if not most Iraqui's will realize its time to step up to the plate for their country, instead of feeling resentment. I want the terrorists somewhere we can get to them.

Well we havent' really been able to get to them that much in Iraq. But just because they are in Iraq does not mean they are not elsewhere. There are numerous terrorist attacks that have happened outside of IRaq that prove this.

A comforting thought if you are trying to be optimistic about the occupation. However, in Korea, we "won" the war at least at the DMZ Zone. There was a complete cessation of fighting once we signed the peace treaty with N. Korea. Here we are still fighting the war and have never stopped fighting it. It would only be a good example if we had some sort of truce with the resistance to occupy some part of Iraq and they agreed not to fight us in that part. Apples and oranges.
