Laimbeer was the biggest dick on that team. He was so bad that when Larry Bird swung at him, I started liking Larry Bird.
Bird was hated, like Jordan, because he was amazingly unstoppable, arrogant, and winning championships. Laimbeer, Rodman and Mahorn are players you overly criticized for being dirty but inside your dark side, you wish you have them on your team. Winning by any mean.
Andrew will be the most popular kid in school(and probably with the Rockets too) if the league goes to non-guaranteed contracts but I can't see how we would take a risk on him under the current CBA. He's just too much of an injury risk for a guy who is near max.
Disagree with Viva, this IS just as dirty as Bynum. But Rodman intimidated people, nobody is scared of big pu**y Bynum.
Based on that dirty, cheap shot he pulled the other day, I think he would fit in better with the j*zz
That sounds exactly like Yao few years ago. 1. good defender 2. nice offensive player so far, before he got hurt. 3. he was 18-8, and then he was 20-10 in his prime. 4. injury prone but was worth the risk. and Yao wasnt a diva with a bad attitude. So, I dont want to go through Yao era again, so I say NO TO BYNUM!!
One injury prone center is enough for me. I'd rather spend the money (and probably less money at that) gambling on Yao being healthy again. At least we know he won't pull some bush league garbage when he gets frustrated. Bynum is 23, but as previous posters have mentioned, he is a very old 23. He will essentially be done by the age of 30. The injuries will pile up, plus we've seen over the years that the high school straight to pro kids tend to age much more quickly.
This. And even if he wasn't injury prone, I wouldn't want that classless, childish, dirty, punkass loser here. We've had some guys that are easy to cheer for here in Houston over the last several years. Bynum would break that trend in a heartbeat.
We have? With who? And don't mention McGrady, because he was an obvious anomaly. He didn't play even an average length career due to all his injuries. His injury prone-ness had nothing to do with coming from HS.
bird was unstoppable. but mainly played like crap offensively whenver the showtime lakers, or erving's 76ers came to town.
You think a 7 foot 270 pounder sending an airborne 5'8 guy to the ground with an elbow to the chest in a 30pt blowout is as dirty as a 6'6 guy shoving a 6'8 guy after making a play on the ball in a tight playoff game? The only thing I got from that video is that v3.0, a Rockets fan, apparently hates Barea more than Scottie Pippen.
Pretty crappy time to start this poll. Kinda like starting a "do you like sushi?" thread after Pearl Harbor.
