Basically. I think TurkeyGloo could rebound like Peja .. for a series or two [How long is his contract anyway?] Rocket River
4 Years going from 10 mill next year to I think like 12 by the end of it. I think he still has some good basket ball left in him, just like Peja -- just not 44 million worth of it. I'm just trying to understand your reasoning -- because you had Houston getting Turk and Pau in return for Scola. Only way I can figure you see that happening is if you think Orlando is tying to give away value for someone to take the Turkey off their hands and books.
If they would have traded Bynum for Scola, Battier and Lowry or Brooks, they would have locked-up the title this year IMO. I don't think we have the pieces to get him anymore, especially when Paul or Howard are realistic targets for them. And I don't think they could have gotten Anthony for him (Denver wouldn't do that) but I do believe the Lakers did ultimately prefer to keep Bynum over Anthony. Just not all that realistic of a pipe dream.
Until we stop getting annhiliated on the glass by the upper-echelon teams of the league, I'd take the risk...
If he didn't have knee problems,I would go for him despite his bad fouls and diva status. The guy is a genuine center.
The only thing that keeps me from wanting Bynum is the cheap shots he takes. Not only because it's unnecessary but, more importantly, those are potential suspensions each time. Howard gets T'd up a lot but it takes, what, 16 technicals for a suspension? One hit by Bynum and it'll be games missed. His injuries are also a concern but, right now, the Rockets don't have the luxury of being choosy when they don't have a legitimate big man down low who can rebound and score.
I can't believe you guys would even consider this bum. He misses how many games at the beginning of each season to tender his wounds/injuries or have surgeries post every PlayOff/Championship run. He's a dirty player and will bring a bad aura around this organization.
I'd go By if we could get him for the MLE....in other words, im not too high on him but would sign him at the right price.
We've tried the injury-prone center path too many times. If we could get him for just a trade exception I'd do it but he's an overpriced center that is not even an all-star when healthy. I'd rather overpay Tyson Chandler or get a center through the draft.
Not at the price he'll cost. Generally speaking I'll take any NBA starter you offer me at the vet min, but Bynum will be overpaid and overvalued by LA.
