Pretty interesting so many people on this bbs would be for the repeal of NN when all that does is make it possible to get a worse internet experience for them in the future.

You and your favorite snide twitter follow have no idea where this could lead. Neither do I. Liberal and conservative technologists I read seem unified that this particular ruling could lead to bad places for consumers and citizens alike. Maybe not.

I would think anyone who leans toward a libertarian view, (not that you or snide pipe guy do), would be particularly alarmed at the police state coda in today's action. I'd also think someone who preaches that a government should be responsive to citizens would hate today's action and be up in arms.

But I am no longer surprised by party-first cheerleading or, in this case, party-first schadenfreude. LOL.

Yup, just like if the libtards are fighting for better medical system for most people, it is F them, even by some morons who would benefit the most.

Ah, yes; the good ol' "this makes people I disagree with upset and that's good enough for me approach."

You're a bastion of political vigor, Commodore.

so dumb, the claim that what was done cannot be undone by the same means, but I'm sure they can find a judge to go along

But, isn't like 80% of the country against this decision IIRC?

I mean, if you're a card-carrying Republican or a fan of the party you should be worried, very much so.

@Commodore is silly if he thinks this won't affect who people vote for, especially younger voters. Younger voters see the internet as a basic need and this is a very important issue for them.

Either the vast majority of the country is liberal or perhaps the vast majority of the country simply doesn't agree with the FCCs decision. Choose one.

This appears to be a common Trump supporter position... don't care how much damage the action causes... as long as they can see "the other side" upset. Mean spirited, destructive. Very much in line with Trump and his supporters.

Well, at least the FTC can still regulate. Now it's just a competition of how clever ISPs can get i.e. T-Mobile and their borderline anti-NN BingeOn.

I never understood why ala carte pricing schemes (like the wildly popular zero-rating services) should be outlawed

it's more amusement/bemusement at the unwarranted hysterics

if I was taking pleasure in actual harm being done, your point would be valid
